Hi Everyone, :wave2:
Just wanted you all to know that I'm off on my amazing European trip :cool1: tomorrow, of which the highlight will definitely be staying at DLRP on 16-20 December. :wizard: Thank you everyone so so much, I have really enjoyed reading everyone's posts, and the tips that people have given are really fantastic.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, as I won't be back here for a while, and keep safe throughout the festive season. Although I live on the other side of the world, its great to get to know people in your neck of the woods!
I'm a little spooked about the weather - yesterday we had our hottest summer day so far! But if it could snow, it would definitely make my Christmas trip complete.
So thanks again fellow DIS-ers, and MERRY DISNEY CHRISTMAS!!!

love Katey. ::MinnieMo

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too, Katey! Hope you have a wonderful trip and enjoy yourself at DLRP! Will look forward to hearing all about your travels on your return. :goodvibes

Have a really wonderful trip Katey and enjoy every minute of it - I'm sure you will!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hope you have an amazing time, I'm sure you will love Europe. Make sure you pack lots of warm clothes for your time in DLP... it's gonna be freezing... but worth it :bounce:

Katey - have a fantastic time, sounds like the trip of a lifetime! The weather will be a big shock to you though! It's freezing at the minute! Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year and we all look forward to hearing about your trip when you get back!

Wow, Katey - you really are going on one long holiday and 4 days at DLRP, fantastic. :cool1:

Hope the climate change isn't too big a shock, and I'm sure you will see snow at some point.....................have a really super holiday! :cold:

Kaye :goodvibes

Katey, have a lovely time. I'd agree about it being cold. Glasgow was -12 and Cairngorms where I was this evening was -4 :cold:

Thanks everyone, for your warm wishes!
Reid - Glasgow was -12???? Oh no, we are staying there - oh well :teeth: I guess I'll get good use of all my new hats and scarves and gloves. We don't get to use them over here - if you wear too many winter woollies where I live, people look at you a little strangely! I am going to live it up I think, and pretend to be European :rotfl:

Hope you have a fantastic trip Katey, and maybe we'll see you in DLRP on the 17th or 18th.....we'll keep an ear open for an aussie accent! Have an amazing time!

I'll be the one going 'Oh my gosh!' all the time and wearing bright pink!!!
Hope you have a fabulous trip also!!!

We're flying Emirates as we are staying in Dubai for 4 days after DLRP, I think the flight goes like this:
Brisbane-Singapore - 7.5hrs approx
Singapore-Dubai = 9hrs approx
Dubai-London = 7.5 hrs approx

Not too excited about the flight, but its a means to an end!

Is it true that flights often get cancelled in the UK due to bad weather?

I certainly wouldn't say that happens often and certainly not major airlines - usually small companies I think. Have a wonderful holiday!!!

Thanks Di - you have made me feel so much better!
Have a lovely Christmas, and have lots of fun planning your next trip!
