I am so excited!!! I had written a letter to guest relations about our last trip and recieved the standard email response (thanks for your input blah blah blah...) and figured that was it. Well today I get a call from the executive offices to ask me about my trip and to tell me they appreciated the feedback. They also wanted to to reimburse us for one particular thing that was not very good. I told them that I appreciated it but when I wrote the letter I was not looking for anything for free, I just wanted them to know that some things could use improvement. She insisted that she wanted to reimburse us as and it was her pleasure. It was so nice and completely unexpected! I didn't even put my phone number on the email! Just my name and they must have looked me up from CRO. We talked about a few things and I also told her the many good things that I was very happy with (I wrote them in my letter as well). She was so nice and I just could not believe that they took the time to call ME!!! :cloud9: I just wanted to share because they do listen to us! I feel giddy! princess:

We actually had quite a few unfortunately (mostly service related), but our big letdown was CRT. princess:

That's great they called you back! They must take customer satisfaction very seriously :)

Holy Cow! That is so nice! THANK YOU for writing them a letter if you had a bad experience (or a few)! That does improve things if enough people give opinions! Also, I've never thought of it but writing letters of praise towards a CM who went above and beyond would be a nice gesture too. I hear they dont make very much $$$ and are expected to behave in a magical manner. I'll put that on my long to do list.
I cant believe they compensated you too! Way to go.
love, Utahmama

I had the same experience recently. I wrote an email detailing an absolutely wonderful CM at the Behind the Seeds tour. I also included a complaint regarding the CM leading the Steam Train tour. Someone from the executive office called me and thanked me for BOTH parts of the email. I did receive some Disney dollars but the fact that they do listen to guests seriously was worth a lot more.

After our August 2002 WDW wedding trip, we wrote a LONG letter thanking many CM's who went far above and beyond to make our Disney wedding and honeymoon so magical (we keep a small notebook on every trip, to make a note of the name of each CM who really impresses us). They called us back to thank us, and they actually posted our letter in the cast member newsletter, so that all the people we thanked could see our appreciation. I was so glad to see that those positive comments actually do make it to the CM's.
Cheers!

This is the email address I've been trying to get to tell about a wonderful "Snow White".

Also, what was your problem with CRT? I have scheduled it for breakfast in October for me, dd3 and step-daughter 13. I'd like to know your problem to help prepare myself for potential problem.

Wow! thanks for that uplifting post :sunny:

I love it that you wrote( & write) of all the many wonderful experiences as well as noting what could be improved! You made it so clear you were not out for reimbursement, but letting them know what an experienced WDW goer felt could be improved upon & what was just perfect! :thumbsup2

I love it that so many DISers write praise letters :cloud9:

I wrote a letter once about a character experience and they called to ask if they could post it in their cast newsletter

Upon our next trip "Belle" wanted to see my daughter again and we had a private meet and greet with her - she and my dd have had two special private times together -

believe me -the CMs REALLY appreciate positive feedback to the powers that be -

my DD is so lucky - could you imagine being 4 and honestly believing that Belle is your best friend?!?!?!

The problem we had was with service and food. We had eaten there before it became a character event and it was wonderful. This last time it was not good at all. It could have been our particular experience. I would still try it if you've never been. You will love how exciting it is to eat in the castle. My first time there was magical. I tear up just thinking about it. :cloud9:
