Hello everyone! This is my very first PTR which will lead into my first TR! :yay: I am excited to share my upcoming vacations with everyone here on the DIS. I get looks from friends and co-workers that display their brief annoyance with the fact that I like to talk about my trips and Disney in general a lot. But, I know there is no judgement here!

I will start off with an introduction of myself! My name is Dawn and I am from Buffalo, NY. I love hockey and have been playing since I was 9. My family has always been a HUGE Disney family, so I always loved itI But, the obsession began during my first visit to the world in 2001. I was completely awestruck by the sheer magic and imagination at work in every aspect of every park. Thus, I became a huge DisNerd, always researching WDW and DL. I am going back to school for Tourism in hopes to become a Disney Vacation Planner! I love planning trips and sharing my Disney insight. I recently became aquatinted with the DIS after my last trip to the world in December 2014. I am a little goofy at times...hope that is OK with everyone! :goofy: Good! Here I am...with an Olaf on my head. He is just too cute! :-)

Here are a bit of my Disney Favs...

Favorite Disney Movie: The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Toy Story
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Ride: Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Big Thunder Mountain (And many, many more)
Favorite Show: Celebrate the Magic & Wishes!
Favorite Character: Donald Duck
Favorite Princess: Ariel
Favorite Resort: The Poly! (Hope to stay there some day!)

Favorite Disney Dining: Be Our Guest & Trail's End Buffet for breakfast

This year I am visiting WDW twice! :donald:The reason for the title...I have decided to surprise my mom, for her Birthday. She has not been to the world since 2009 and has been itching to get back. I have been twice without her in 2012 and 2014 so it is time to make it up to her! On the day of this post, she still does not know she is going. I am trying to figure out some fun way to tell her that this is her birthday present from me and my DH. It will be a mother/daughter only trip! I hope she will be excited for it. Oh...I can't forget...This is the DM!!

Some of DM's Disney favs...

Favorite Movie: Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom
Favorite Ride: Rockin' Rollercoaster, Space Mountain
Favorite Show: Voyage of the Little Mermaid (HS)
Favorite Character: Mickey Mouse
Favorite Princess: Belle
Favorite Resort: Loves the look of the Grand Floridian. (This visit will be her first stay on property!)
Favorite Disney Dining: Liberty Tree Tavern (The only non QS restaurant she has been to, which I will rectify this trip!)

Well...that is the Mother/Daughter duo! Or the DM/DD duo of the TR! :D
We will be Staying 3 nights at POP, and spending 4 days in the parks from September 17th-20th.

I have learned to experience Disney in a completely different way then the last time she was there, and I look forward to showing her a really fun trip with all of my acquired knowledge.

Our trip plan looks like a little something like this...

Thurs. Sept. 17th: Leave Buffalo at 8:05pm, arrive in Orlando, take ME to POP, and rest up for a full Friday in the parks!

Fri. Sept. 18th: Hollywood Studios for the day. We have an ADR for Hollywood & Vine with the Fantasmic! VIP dinner package! I am excited about this because I have never eaten at Hollywood & Vine or had the dinner package for Fantasmic!
Sat. Sept. 19th: DM'S BIRTHDAY!! :bday: We have an early ADR for my favorite breakfast restaurant, Trail's End Buffett!! I can taste the french toast bread pudding now. Then we are off to AK for the morning and early afternoon. We will head over to MK late afternoon and stay for the night. It will also be DM's first experience with EMH!
Sun. Sept. 20th: We will probably go to Downtown Disney after breakfast and then spend the rest of the day at MK until we have to go back to POP to get the ME to MCO. :sad2:

I really wish I could take DM for a longer trip, but I only had two vacation days left. I will also be going back to WDW a couple weeks after we return with DH...but that is for another PTR! :mickeyjum

Thanks for reading!

As our favorite mouse says! "See ya real soon!"

112 Days away from our Mother/Daughter trip! I am getting antsy...I want to go now!! I still have not told my mom that she is going for her birthday so the surprise is still in play. I am trying to find out a fun way of telling her. I was wondering if I can get some help from my fellow Disers as to fun ways to break a surprise WDW visit to someone! I got all the information for the trip in the mail from Disney yesterday...the little booklet with Mr. Incredible is just that...INCREDIBLE!! Makes me anxious! Thank you for any input you may have! :)

Hi! I'm so happy to read about your trip, and to hear how excited you are to be going with your DM. I went last year with my DM (76) and DD (11) and it was really special. We ate at Hollywood and Vine and went to Fantasmic afterwards. The buffet had a nice variety, and the desserts were out of this world! Have a great time - - will look forward to reading about how it comes out.
