I was looking for a link - it was about this bookstore manager who got a shipment of Dianetics in, but they all had "Barnes and Nobles" (or whatever store he worked at) stickers on them - in the box.

He felt Dianetics stays on the top 10 list or whatever, cuz they ship out books, buy them all, take those same books back, ship them, etc etc etc...

That Grier picture was taken December 29th, and Suri was from the summer. I can't think of any celebrities that had babies in January to do a side by side, but Suri in the summer is the size of Grier NOW.

Note also: Brooke and her husband are tall people, so that would explain Grier having long legs. Still, there's 4 months difference in those pictures!Suzanne

I was going to say this also, Brooke Shields and her husband are both tall. Katie Holmes is fairly tall as well but TC is a stump sooo...

Katie Holmes takes Suri and Curious George home from FAO Schwarz

Katie Holmes has arrived in New York to talk up her new film Mad Money. But before the actress hit the talk show circuit, she made sure to spend some quality time with her family.

After arriving in the Big Apple Sunday night, Holmes, Tom Cruise and daughter Suri dropped by FAO Schwarz on Fifth Avenue where the family enjoyed a private shopping spree with a personal shopper. (Cruise and Holmes last visited the famous toy store when Cruise surprised Holmes with a birthday bash there in 2005.)

Monday morning, Holmes opened up about the fun night during an interview on Good Morning America. "We were at FAO Schwarz last night (pictured). ... Running around, eating ice cream and playing with all of the toys. And Tom and I were playing with a lot of the toys ourselves. It's fun for adults. You get carried away."

As for Suri, Holmes reports their 20-month-old daughter is "talking all the time. So she's saying, 'Who's that? Who's that?' "

Meanwhile, Holmes also hit up Live with Regis and Kelly where she discussed her participation in the New York City Marathon last fall. How did she prepare? With a 10-hour a week workout regimen and Kanye West's song "Stronger" constantly blasting for encouragement.

Holmes is set to continue her N.Y.C. press tour with a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman Monday night.

It's just the yearly January celebration of her life. Her birthday is in April. They just celebrate her life in January.

A little off-topic...Did anyone see Meredith Viera interview Andrew Morton this morning on The Today Show? She really attacked him about his new book on Tom Cruise. What's her deal? She was pretty aggressive.

Now I'm headed out to Barnes and Noble after school to pick this book up-she got my interest piqued with all her skepticism and critical comments! I want to see what all the brouhaha is about this book.

Maybe I can save you some time and money ... here's what the brouhaha is about (from People Magazine's 1.21.08 SCOOP pg. 19):

TOM CRUISE BATTLES 'VICIOUS' BOOK
Tom Cruise is under attack, and his camp is fighting back. In the new book Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, author Andrew Morton makes shocking allegations against Cruise, including the seemingly preposterous claim that some fellow Scientologists wondered if Cruise's wife, Katie Holmes, "had been impregnated with [Scientology founder L. Ron] Hubbard's frozen sperm." He also writes that while HOlmes, 29, was pregnant, she and Cruise, 45, lived "ins separate wings, with separate ... bedrooms." Cruise's rep Julie Polkes tells Scoop, "The book is a false, vicious and bigoted attack on a man, his reigion, his family and even his young children ... The author never interviewed anyone close to Tom, including his business partners, his agents, actors, directors, studio executives, friends, family members." Morton's publisher, meanwhile, maintains, "We stand by our book and our author." So is Cruise going to sue? "No legal action has been taken," says Cruise's lawyer Bert Fields. "Clearly the book is libelous but I never comment on what our legal plans are."

There's also a side quote stating: "It's a bigoted, defamatory assult replete with lies." says a Church of Scientology rep. and a caption next to a picture of Suri stating: The book includes some bizarre theories about Suri's conception.

I liked his other books. He really had to defend himself though in this interview.

While I think it may be a bit much (though not totally off the wall) that Suri was created from LRH's sperm. I think it's more likely Katie got pregnant from her last boyfriend (Chris Klein) she was about to marry, then got into that "whirlwind" brainwashing... I mean romance. I mean, what a bonus for TC, a brainwashed, young, semi-popular wife that was already knocked up since he didn't seem to be able to do the job with his first 2 wives. No need to send any faxes requesting to adopt a few children. (not that I'm saying he was the one that sent the fax I saw.)

And you know what I found odd, when I watched Leah Remini on talk shows, and Tom Cruise on talk shows - they all did the same thing (including Katie) - they turn the questioning around on the questioner.

They start asking whom is interviewing them, the questions. And all 3 of them do it.
