Just booked our next trip for June 2006. When is Star Warsnext year? Oh please, oh please not when we are there!!!!

These were the dates this year...

Star Wars Weekends extended two additional weekends in June! In addition to June 3-5, and June 10-12, the weekends of June 17-19 and June 24-26 will feature Star Wars characters and other activities.

We were lucky enough to go during the time that they were extended and it was awesome. One of the highlights of our trip.

I will try not to worry about the crowds due to it too much if it was that enjoyable then. Thanks

You'll only have problems over on the left side of MGM with where they have the Star Wars things going on. Everything else is very manageable. Oh, and don't attempt to go into Tatooine Traders during the weekend. Mob City and I hope Disney continues to improve on this little mess. The shop is too small and the aisles too narrow and the crowds too big. Need to move this somewhere else for the weekends.

Does Star Wars effect the attendence at the other parks much?

I heard a rumor that this year was the last SWW, so don't get your hopes up too much.

The dates for SWW can vary from year to year, so don't count on it being the same dates.

We were there on the 25th for the Star Wars Weekend and it was AWESOME! Now I am not a hugh SW fan but I really got caught up in all the characters,shows,and skits they were doing. In fact I could have spent my entire day in that area. I hope this year was not the last one. I told my DH I would love to go again next year. I will have to keep my eyes open on that rumor.

This being a SW movie release year really affected the mob at MGM--SW area only. We've been to several SWW and this year was frightening at times. But don't worry about the crowds next year--they should be fine and you'll get a kick out of SWW-- We sure do! Have fun!

We went during a Star Wars weekend in 2003 (first week in June, if I recall) and again this year (the last weekend in May, right before Memorial Day). Probably due to the fact of the holiday weekend, plus it being Ep. 3 release year, but it was INSANELY crowded this time. But for some reason we were able to walk on Star Tours...

All that being said, we try to plan our summer trips around Star Wars weekends (early summer 2004 I was engaged in little stuff like starting my own business).
