I want to go back .....

I really miss it....

My brother in law wants to do Ocean City for our next vacation

I want to do Disney... Its a family vacation but not until July next time so I have some time to work on him...

Anyone with suggestions?

Hey,
I have a two day non expiring park hooper we can share a room and do a quicky trip of the world......I'm going with my family at the end of this month and I'm now understanding why people book their next trip before their current trip has happened because I'm beginning to feel sad that I won't have Disney to anticipate after we come back.

Which Ocean City? MD or NJ? I live in oc, md and neither are even close to the fun of Disney. In fact it has gotten so expensive here that we joke it's cheaper to go to Disney for a week then to vacation here.

You're right, OC,MD has turned out to be a VERY expensive vacation. Weekly condo rentals have gone through the roof. What used to be a $600/week oceanfront rental is now $1600/week ! We stay at the Antigua( the round beachfront condo).

I here you there. We did OCMD since I was in diapers every year several times a year.

We started to do Disney for our summer vacation then DD wanted to do OC again with her cousins. I had a great idea of what it cost the last 2 trips to Disney so I really kept track of it in OC . Disney was $200 cheaper when all was said and done.

Now we still hit OC on the offseason a few times but nowhere near as much as we did.Shanty Town was that last straw for us you can only go into so many Sunsations .

LOL ! I can't tell you how many times we went to Sunsations and had a hard time dragging my kids out of there ! If I had a $ for every hermit crab we bought there, only to bite the dust after a few weeks.

We have talked on and off about buying a condo in OC,MD. We go back and forth on this. I love the Delmarva area and I never get sick of it. My kids have good memories from there and they are beach lovers. I know you can't compare Jolly Roger and Trimper's on the boardwalk to Disney, but that's their fondest memories. With the rising cost of OC, MD, Disney is the better bargain.

That's the truth! We were going to do OC this summer until we discovered that we could do Disney (not counting air fare) for just a little bit more. Very scary.

I love OC (both NJ and MD, although I live in MD), but the rest of my family aren't thrilled with the beach. By the time we pay for 5 of us at Jolly Rogers, ride the rides on the boardwalk, etc. We're broke!
