Yay for free meals! I've never been to Garden Grill, but it sounds like a great place to eat. I think I read once that it rotates, but I must have forgotten about that because I was surprised to hear that!

Also, YES for the Land air fresheners! I just love the Land pavilion so much!

Seems like I don't often hear things about Garden Grill so I was really happy to read about y'alls dinner there. It sounds very good! And Farmer Mickey is precious!! I mean, really?!? I really want to go to that meal one day just to have a picture of him.

Yeah, it was great! Hahah yes, it does rotate! It's really awesome.

YES! They need those immediately. Like, I LOVE the smell of turkey but it's not something I want my car or my bedroom to smell like all the time. THE LAND, however, would be WONDERFUL!

The One Where It Is Indeed Real Life

August 1, 2012

After our lovely ride through the vegetable garden, we slowly made our way out of The Land.

We saw the fiberoptic light up concrete! I always like seeing that. Little touches like that are what make me so in love with this park. Though I must admit I’m not sure what the symbols are. ARE they supposed to be anything, or are they just random futuristic-y designs of whimsy? If anyone knows, please enlighten me. HAHA.

We headed toward Spaceship Earth and were able to see the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL sunset!

GETTING CLOSER...

AHH TOO CLOSE!

(I'm not sure why I am the way I am.)

Since we were right there, we decided to take another quick spin around the Earth. The past. The future. Normal stuff.

Anna decided to sit this one out. She was a little paranoid about getting stuck again. HOWEVER, we didn't get stuck so she just missed out. I don't really think she cared though.

Honestly though, I really need to start taking pictures during this ride! I NEVER do! It's baffling. BAFFLING.

It had been a long day! I tell ya, I love Animal Kingdom but that place just tires me out! We decided to just head back to our beloved Bay Lake Tower. The park was closing in 30 minutes or so anyways, and we’re really big fans of NOT being stuck in crowds. Plus, we would be back soon!

While we were traveling on the highway in the sky, we saw a gorgeous, GORGEOUS sunset. Oh man, I remember it well. I couldn't stop staring at it. No matter how many times I attempt to photograph sunsets, they NEVER come out as beautiful as they look in person, so I didn't even bother!

Soon enough, we were back in our room. My mom and Jacob took a quick trip over to Contempo to fill up everyone’s mugs. At around 9:35, I realized that I needed a shower and The Magic, The Memories, and You was starting at 9:45. I basically FLED to the bathroom and took the fastest shower of my life so I wouldn’t miss it! I made it just in time!

Allow me to explain something: if you give me a room with a perfect view of MMY and Wishes, where I can watch it from the comfort of my own balcony, safely distancing myself from pushing and shoving crowds, and I am IN said room, you best believe I’m going to watch them. Especially since MMY is the most genius thing ever and I’m obsessed with it. (Side note: I'm sad again. I keep forgetting that it's gone. HOWEVER, I heard that the new show was just as great, so hey... I guess it's okay. )

My mom and Jacob made it back to the room just in time to watch too! We seriously could not get enough of those balconies! We felt like VIPs. (I mean, we are. But we really felt like them while sitting on the balconies. )

I especially felt VIP-like because I was sitting on my balcony, watching MMY and Wishes... WITH A TOWEL ON MY HEAD.

Seriously though? Who does that? Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? (Caught in a landslide, no ESCAPE from reality! )

It was awesome.

It was a very unique experience, that's for sure.

Since this wasn't our first time watching Wishes from the balcony, I figured I'd take some pictures this time! JUST FOR YOU LOVELY PEOPLE! And for my memories. Mostly for you, though. Of course.

My favorite part! I think those little red fireworks are the coolest.

One of the really big booms from the Wishes finale actually set off multiple car alarms. OH MY GOSH, it was hilarious. I laughed so hard at that! Only at Disney, people.

After the smoke cleared (literally), we hung around together on the balcony a little longer, just talking and Magic Kingdom-watching. It's like people-watching, but you can't really see any people, and it's Magic Kingdom.

After a while we were ready to hit the mattresses. I had a hard time sleeping that night, even though I was extremely tired. I think it was hitting me that the trip was starting to wind down. But...

NO TIME TO THINK ABOUT THAT! MUST CONTINUE TO HAVE FUN!

I'm still sad about the MMY, as well, but I watched the new show online (I said I wouldn't, but I had to make sure it wasn't terrible. I had to know!) and it was all right. I'm still holding a torch for MMY, but I think by the time I see Celebrate the Dream(?I think that's the name) I'll like it.

I finally just read your introductions! Your sister looks so much older than 26!

Also, your brother is adorable. I love children with down syndrome. I am very close with disabilities as my brother is autistic. You probably could tell that there is something not right when you meet him but he is not severely autistic. He, as well as your brother, is hilarious!

YES! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. It's been like that all week! I don't like it!

Aw thanks! I really like those too. It was such a gorgeous night, which was especially great after a rainy afternoon!

Hahaha I'm so glad! Oh I know, I honestly don't think anything short of the Castle Suite could ever top that! I got so spoiled after only staying value before that! I feel like on my next trip I'll be whining over not being on the monorail.

Hahah that's okay! The food was great! Our table wasn't too small, but it was slightly awkward since it wasn't completely round! Ah well. Jacob loved the lady bug cake! I wanted one of my own!

YES! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend that! Yeah, I think you'll have to see it in person. Jen (Nermel9) said she liked it just as much as MMY! So hopefully we'll both love it too! I'm really excited to see it someday just so I can miss MMY less (or more, depending on how good it is hahah)!

Thank you! Aww, wow, how sweet! I think that most of the time kids with disabilities are the sweetest! I just think that if Jacob was a regular 20 year old guy, he wouldn't be nearly as excited about Disney. How old is your brother??

Thank you! Aw, sad! Funny you should say that though, because literally EVERY time I've been to Animal Kingdom it has been cloudy and overcast! One of these days I will get a picture of the Tree of Life with a BLUE SKY!

Yes, I think so. It seems like everyone is being pulled in a dozen different ways, and DIS time is rare. Plus, I think a lot of people have begun keeping up with DIS friends a lot on FB and not necessarily on reports.

I have to work two days this week, and then I will get my fill of DIS time later in the week. I have no plans to get out on Black Friday, so I can hunker down with my laptop and some hot chocolate and catch up with everyone.

Glad you guys enjoyed your dinner at the Garden Grill. I haven't been there in a few years, but I've always enjoyed it. Back in the day, they used to have a breakfast buffet, which I LOVED. But no, they had to get rid of it!
