I see on the Disney page there's a warning that no one can make resort reservations because the system I guess is updating. Anyone care to guess how long the next wave of IT problems will last this go around. :sad2:
 
It happens. I'm sure they're working hard to not inconvenience guests further.
 

Things need to be updated and it was announce on here yesterday or the day before can't recall.
My thought is... tough bananas!

Werent things just updated less than a month ago? Menus and such? I haven't been following board for a day or so, so I guess I missed it but irregardless it seems its a continual 'update' which sadly usually results in more problems than fixes.
 
I think it is just for the reservation system. You can still call to book tickets.

The problem for me at least has been when they do these updates it creates havoc on my MDE. I took little comfort in hearing from guest services that my account glitching the way it was, was something she only saw once or twice before. Like a reverse lottery LOL
 
Saw it was down yesterday and now today. I hope it's up tomorrow, I have some reservations I need to change and wanted to call during the weekend since I don't have time with work during the week.
 
I wonder why they didn't send out advance notice. Our bills was due yesterday. It's a package, so we couldn't pay. Someone tell me they mean it when they say we can today without consequence. Pretty please reassure me. :)

I had the misfortune of arriving at Disney when they did the Magical Enhancement of bringing 1st Gen MDE on line. Same general announcement as they have now, blurb on website about their being unable to make or change any reservations, etc. We arrived to the resort to pure chaos. No one could check in, rooms could not be assigned. Dining plans couldn't be used, tickets couldn't be accessed. It was a zoo. They had to give all guests comp tickets to get to the park. Guests had to pay for their meals and get the dining plan applied later. Easy for my party of 3, imagine doing that with a party of 8, 10? It was not a fun day.

They didn't send out an advance notice but they did put a notice on their website for at least a full day, if not more, before they took it down

You will be fine--they don't drop reservations that still need final payment that quickly. Promise. (I'm a TA--I guarantee there's a grace period.)
