DD just forced me to check the price of a Christmas trip to DLP again, having dismissed it a few weeks ago due to the price being £500 to travel by Eurostar, and stay at the Kyriad for 3 nights.

I was shocked to discover that the price came up at £400, travelling by Eurostar and staying at the Holiday Inn for 3 nights! :woohoo:

The rest is a bit of a blur, but I seem to have found us booked, oops :lmao:

DH wasn't much help either, he has been asking me for weeks if we are going, as he is looking forward to a peaceful Christmas at home, like last year. :santa:

:lmao: Annette you truly are an inspiration to all of us hopeless repeat offenders   !!!

I knew you guys on here would understand, no point in having annual passes if you don't use them, is there? :thumbsup2

way hay!!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: Brill price!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

I am still shaking from shock too! Last year I booked way too late and paid about £500 for a 2 night stay at the HI, by Eurostar.

Seems like Eurostar were offering a 20% discount on the HI, I had already checked the HI site and it was something like €124 a night, so I don't know how Eurostar are doing it for £60 per night. The Eurostar alone was £110 each, had we gone down that route.

I wonder if the pool being closed has anything to do with it?

hehe im trying to make my bf see that point of view! :lmao:

You could try pointing out that the more you use APs the cheaper they get ;)

I just did a quick calculation and, taking our forthcoming trips into consideration as well, our passes have worked out at £5 each per day! And that's not including all the discounts we've had on food and shopping :thumbsup2

Great news Annette - I'd noticed you had a ticker for Christmas but just found the thread.
I dont think you'll be bumping into my DH this time though as we'll be at home eating left over turkey

Awwwwww, that's a shame, though you could show him the 'surprise your children' thread and see if he takes the hint :lmao:

Failing that, any future trips planned?

:headache: must .... not.... look .... at .... Eurostar .... website .... must .... ignore .... this .... thread

Sorry, what was that? Got a bit distracted on another site. One about.....er...something else, but definitely not Eurostar.

You can look all you want, so long as you don't click that book button :lmao:

Having said that, it's a slippery slope and that's how it starts.

First you visit the Disney site for information and see that 20% image at the bottom. "hmm... I wonder how much?" you think. Then your pricing it up "our of curiosity".

Shortly after that, you're looking up Eurostar and folkestone hotel's just to see how much the entire holiday costs.

Shortly after that, you're asking for holiday at work and the next thing you know, you've booked another DLRP trip.

And strangely, the people here at DISboards appear to be encouraging this behaviour, rather than discouraging it like responsible people should ;)
