Oh Come All Ye Faithful... DIS TR Addicts... UPDATE 4/19

I had no idea you had a new PTR going! I enjoyed reading your October TR and am looking forward to this one too.

Your plans look great so far and the forecast looks good. Hopefully it doesn't change too much!

We stayed at POP in Feb... in the 70's building. I liked it there! It was not real close to the pools, but not far from anything in general:goodvibes my kids loved the Computer pool in the 80's section, they said it was warmer than the other 2 pools... it was the closest one to us anyway.

Ohhh thanks! That is nice to know. We are going in Jan. so I'm not sure if it will be warm enough for swimming...but if there is a warm pool we could pull it off :)

LOVE the PTR title.... :lmao:

That's so it!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I think we have a consensus. F&G 2010 The Girls, the Marc and the Baby Cart is a go!!! :thumbsup2

2xcited2sleep...Christine! I really enjoyed reading through your pre-trip report! I bet you are super excited about your trip...I can't find an exact date of your trip, but it has to be getting close :) October 11th?? Wow!

We are also planning on staying at Pop Century...opps, havn't announced in our TR yet LOL. IF there was any way we could afford to stay at a nicer place my DREAM place is Animal Kingdom Lodge! I am so envious! Steve and I briefly looked at it, but we can't afford it at this time. Someday maybe.

Did you make any requests for specifics for your rooms? Room preferences. I requested the 70s building at POP and a king sized bed. I know they can't always give you your preferences...but honeymoon is right on our reservation so I am hoping they will try to help us :rolleyes1

Oooh.. a scoop on my PTR. ;) Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and disneymoon, by the way!! You're thinking of Pop too? I've never stayed there but am looking forward to checking it out. I haven not done enough research yet to know what to request. That's something I need to research. But truth be told I'm only there 2 nights and rarely in the room so it probably doesn't matter. I leave on 12/11. Coming up soon!!

Good recommendation, Paula!

:lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: That is the most perfect PTR title, EVER! He's going to kill me when he wakes up and I tell him this. He already thinks all I do on here is make fun of him. :rolleyes1

I love the idea of a joint PTR/TR. What fun!

He's sleeping again? Sheesh. ;) We're laughing with him. And I am looking forward to having a purse carrier, picture taker, baby cart pusher. :goodvibes

Yep... another trip going. I am starting to panic about what I'll do after this trip is over with nothing else planned. I may just have to purchase DVC to rectify this. ;)

I am wondering if there will be swimming in Dec too. So far the forecast puts it in the 80's during the day so I am hoping to catch some rays but as I'm looking at my itinerary I'm not sure quite when I'll fit that in. :confused3

F&G 2010.... no kids? no hubby?.... wow.... what an idea....:cloud9: I'm so into that! ::yes::

But I have a question. A serious question. :scratchin We keep referring to Marc as "the Marc"... and... does the Marc need reservations? Is that like an ADR? Is there a certain # of days out where we'd be required to obtain his services for purse carrying... baby 'cart' pushing for purchases and purses... oh, and def. the partaking of our FP's.... LL? How does one go about securing 'the Marc' for a trip of this magnitude?

Another thing, you should def. buy into DVC. Because we'll need somewhere to stay, after all. I'm just sayin..... :rolleyes1

Ok, I kid! I kid!

Well.... sorta?

:lmao: Yes he's sleeping again, tonight is his night back at work after three nights off. So he takes a nap from 4ish to 7:30ish to get through the night. I am so going to have to take some pictures of him with a baby cart in May. :rotfl:

Oh my! I am laughing to hard at this. "The Marc." :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I'll have to ask him about he charges for his services, I wonder if he has a 180 day window as well....? :rotfl2:

Oy! Like I need more of a reason to buy DVC?? You're killing me. But can you see all of us in a Grand Villa somewhere? Hmmm... I'm going to have to see how many points that would be... :rolleyes1

Oh... sorry. Forgot that he works a non-traditional schedule. He is free to sleep away. I know that you were going to wake him up saying some lady on the internet commented that he was sleeping again. ;)

I think the baby cart is adorable. That is what it is. Makes more sense than stroller when you think about it!

Yes, please do inquire as to his availability in spring of 2010! :goodvibes

Hmmm.. I definately have AT LEAST 78 points to toss into the pot.... and could borrow a few more:rolleyes1

YOU are what they call an enabler! ;) It looks like a grand villa in the spring runs ~400-500 points! :scared1: Not sure that is in the cards but that doesn't mean we can't find another way! We have a whole year + to plan!

I suppose it depends on how many we have??? A 2 br standard at AKV (sleeps up to 9) is only 263.....:rolleyes1

OR we could do a grand villa at OKW (lowest point DVC) for 6 nites (dropping a saturday 123pt nite off) it's only 378points.... I lthink I like that idea better:thumbsup2

I'll be happy to sleep in a sleeping bag in the bathtub, ladies. Anything to be in my happy place w/no kids and no husband. Puh-lease!

:lmao: I did ask him about his availability and he said that he is not able to commit until 180 days out. He also said it costs money for fast pass running. He said he does have certain limitations hence the charging for FP running. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
I guess when he was sleeping he could hear me laughing as I was reading all the posts. He really laughed when I told him the PTR title. :rolleyes1

So when Marc finally woke up this morning I was telling him about the AP's and such. Then I mentioned a girls trip perhaps if I did have an AP. Then I told him how we figured we could make him an honorary girl if he became our official purse holder and this is what he said,

"I can just see myself pushing one of those blue baby carts filled with purses and cameras following a group of girls all around."

I could not stop laughing because that is such a great visual and secondly because he called it a baby cart. Ummm....it's a stroller. :lmao: :rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I want in on this trip!

You had me laughing out loud here at work. I usually try to keep my DIS-reading undercover... :surfweb: even though everyone knows I do it....

SOOOO funny!

Oh totally! :dance3:

Good morning!

Does anyone feel like single digit dancing?? :cool1:

I am NOT tempting the weather gods. In fact, I bow to the weather gods.
:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

BUT it would *appear* that things are looking good. Pretty warm and sunny - getting cooler on departure day. I am conscious I was burned by this before and that the forecast will surely change in 9 days but for now I can't help but be a bit excited. Because I HATE the cold weather!

Keep your fingers crossed for me. And if you have an "in" with the weather gods.... ;)

Oh my goodness! You miss a day or two around here and you miss a lot!! F&G or F&W? Either way, I want in!! That should give me enough time to warm up DH to the idea and save up the cash!

Alarose, where in Iowa are you? I am in M'town.
