Poor Christian. I hope he is soon feeling better and on the road to recovery. I think the little tree with the lights that your sister sent to Christian was a wonderful idea.
I bet he'll enjoy looking at the Christmas lights, and it'll add some holiday cheer to his room.
.
I hope you get the help you need soon. You are so amazing in how you not only take care of Christian but the rest of your family as well.
Oh WOW. I just saw this now. Like you need one more thing to deal with..
Can you restrain him in bed some how? I can't imagine how you are going to keep him occupied for the next several weeks. Yikes. Does he like to watch movies or anything like that? Does he have the attention span for that?

Minky we used to use these in the hospital years ago and they are really nice. The keep the person in bed or their chair but are not restraining to their movement (arms, legs, hands) and most didn't even know they were a restraint. Something like this would allow you to at least get a little sounder sleep when you are in his room or allow a trip to the bathroom. It is not cruel to keep someone safe. I just googled one to show you what I was talking about, I have no idea if this is a good one or good company.

I'm so sorry I know what your are going thru. I'll pray for you for strength to get thru.
try the restraints again, if you are fastening them under the bed he shouldn't be able to reach them. If you got one of the vests put it on backward, much harder to get out of.
Now I don't know what meds he is on but depending I might think about an antihistamine tonight to encourage some rest. (unless they make him hyper)
When that nurse or aid gets there you go get some rest! Are there any friends or people from your church that could come and sit with him so you can rest? I'm surprised they didn't ok him going to rehab/nursing facility for a week, we had young people come through all the time if they had no one home to help.
