.....Well, I know there are many of you hoping for a 'trippie' from the two of us but I'm not, honestly, organised enough to do one as well as everyone else :confused3

As you've all been so lovely and supportive I'll give some sort of 'feedback' a go ;)

As an overall evaluation of the holiday I'll say that we had a great time but were ready to come home, be with our friends, and begin the rest of our lives

The outbound,Virgin, flight was spot on time and we arrived in Orlando early afternoon.
I set up the Tom Tom (our own, from home) and went off in search of a Publix for Eve's 'lactose reduced' milk, (you, seriously, don't want to stand anywhere down wind of Eve if she's been drinking any quantity of 'normal' milk :rolleyes1 )

The flight home, which was delayed by 5 hours, I have chosen to not mention as these things happen.
We were fine, as was everyone else.............
It was fine, we got home, no problem.................

Needless to say I managed to get lost several times as, although the TT proved invaluable once I'd mastered the road systems, it took a day or so to get used to :lmao:

We checked into POP and were presented with a lovely surprise from all our DIS buddies :grouphug:
I was so tired I never thought to take a photograph but there was a photo album, autograph book, cuddly Minnie (which, promptly joined Eve's bedtime menagerie) gift card, Hidden Mickey book, pen and a pressed penny album - I'm almost certain to have missed something but, whatever, the surprise was lovely - thankyou ::yes::

That evening we just explored and I, constantly, reminded Eve of the time difference and that it wouldn't be a good plan to be up before 6 am ;)

Needless to say, at 6am, she was up and about.
We decided on Magic Kingdom and spent a whole 10 hours there.
I know many folk do the parks 'commando style' but, due to previous circumstances, we've only ever been able to manage a couple of hours, per park, per day................:)

She rode 'Pirates', in honour of Phil and, also Haunted Mansion - HM she vowed 'never again' but Pirates she managed in daylight :)

We concentrated on WDW whilst we were at POP and did all 4 parks.
I unearthed a set of old Hopper passes, from years ago, which I took to Guest Relations.
We were all lucky enough to have 2 park days and 2waterpark days left on each.
I dallied with the idea of feigning ignorance about Phil's pass but decided to 'own up' and, due to the circumstances, they issued a new pass, to be used by anyone :thumbsup2

On the Thurs we had breakfast at The Floridian where 'Alice' was mortified that we'd be spending the rest of the day at Universal ;)

In previous years we spent a lot of time at Universal but, though we thoroughly enjoyed our time there, this time, I feel that Eve associated it, quite predominantly, with Phil and we weren't there so long :confused3

After 6 nights we moved on to our 1 bedroomed apt.
I have to admit that I found this so much more comfortable, for us, than POP..........
Eve had the lovely, comfortable, Queen sized bed, whilst I struggled on the creaky old bed settee ;)
At least she was able to watch wall to wall cartoons etc in peace whilst I thought about 'nothing', next door, in the living room ;)
We, both, discovered 'shopping'.
Eve was all set to buy DS games whilst I was in search of 'uGg' sandals, Converse boots and 'Patriot' Candles ;)

Needless to say we went out with 2 bags and returned home with 4 :scared1:
I was, really, concerned about getting the bags in the car on our return home (we've 'downsized' from an MPV to a Vauxhaull Corsa) but we were ok :thumbsup2

Over the duration of the holiday we met up with our Floridian friends and, generally, had a good time.

Overall I don't think there's anything much more to say.............:)

Basically, we had a great time but, if anyone is wondering anything, please feel free to ask

Wonderful to hear from you, Alison! :goodvibes Glad you and Eve had a great time - I hope the Disney magic helped... pixiedust:

Thanks for letting us know how it went - I send you both my very best wishes for "the rest of your lives"...

Sounds like you and Eve had an amazing time! :thumbsup2 I am so pleased for you, after what you've been through you needed a holiday.

I always go out with 2 cases and come back with 4....:confused3 :rotfl2:

I agree you need a new ticker! ;)

I, almost, feel obliged for anyone, in a similar position, to us, to advise that there will, always, be 'highs and lows' as far as people feel inclined to let you 'vent'..........................lol:goodvibes

We had a great time but you will, always, find someone who feels they know the whole story better than anyone - my advice is to follow your own heart, and believe what you know to be true - it's, by no means, easy, but the right thing to do :thumbsup2

I'm so pleased that you and Eve had a great time Alison :)

 Lots of love to you both as you begin the rest of your lives

Take care

Thanks Sara, I don't mind at all.......thankyou

What I did, almost, forget to mention was that this was the first year Eve was tall enough to ride most of the 'coasters'.

Although she'll be 10, in Dec, she's rather small and has been pretty cheesed off that younger kids are, often, taller and able to ride the exciting rides ;)
She rode 'It's a Small World' ride and was terrified - same as when she rode it at 3 :scared1:

Anyway, as a result, we became well acquainted with 'Mount Everest'........
After riding it, almost back to back 15 times (I figured out the 'quiet time' in AK) I became very fond of the yeti and was sorely tempted to buy the 'My Next Boyfriend Will Be A Yeti' T-shirt.................................:rotfl:

I have to advise tho, riding at the quiet time, with no real break in between, it would be advisable to take some sort of 'sickness' precaution.................................;)

Glad you had a good time :goodvibes I think you are very brave to ride Everest! :scared1:

So Pleased you had a good time:hug:

glad you had a lovely time, big hugs to you both
