Oh boy, did I luck out! BWV in Dec.

I was all set to book a hotel for Dec. after calling MS a few weeks before and finding no studio availability. But I decided to try again this past Sat. and...
SCORE!! She found me a 1 BR Std view at BWV!

BUT, I was so surprised, I never even thought about requests. I'll call back with a request to be near the elevators, but is there anything else I ought to shoot for? Any floors better than another?

For standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. You get a great view of the fireworks from Epcot. You may not be able to see them close to the elevator, plus that area can be noisy with the DME luggage vans & busses.

Once I am in the system, I am hoping to get a studio for a few nights in October at OKW or SSR. I figure there is no way I will get near Epcot with F&W going on.

T - what dates are you there in October. I am looking at 10/6 - 10/10.

Get outta town. That would be great if you can get dates in Oct. We will be there Oct 6-14. Would love to meet again. So funny we live so close and travel to WDW to see each other. We must try to do lunch up here, cant wait to hear about your DVC.

My waitlist hasn't come through yet. I'm at BWV, in a preferred studio, from Dec 6-10, and in a standard studio from the 10-12. I waitlisted for anything that would put in one studio for the whole stay. But, nothing yet. Hopefully something comes along.

I'm embarassed to say.... just keep in mind my proximity to WDW:
In 2007, 3 day trips, a week in May, 4 days in Aug. and 5 (maybe 6) days in Dec. Yep, I'm using those 07 points up! My UY is March and I won't set foot in WDW during Feb., so may as well use 'em in Dec., right?!

Thank you! I was a little worried about noise near the elveators. Your request sounds like a much better bet I got 12/16-20.

I wouldn't count it out - I mentioned that I want to hold on to my remaining 8 points, just in case I want to try using them at OKW for the F&W fest. The MS lady said there's still some availability during the fest, so you never know!

There is a stairway which empties out to the walkway on the left that brings you right over to the bus stop. I have also heard that the very end of the hallway facing MGM is a great view, but it's a long walk to the elevators.

Wow, that's gorgeous! My only concern is with the top floor - I'll have a DS5 and DM60 in tow. Neither will be any good for hiking up and down the stairs daily and I'm not keen on lugging the stroller myself. Any thoughts on a first or second floor rrom across from the bus stop?
