Duh, just remembered I was going to ask this for my dd. She's the pin collecter and trader wannabee. However, she doesn't want to trade anything that she really likes and tends to only buy what she really likes. We are going to WDW the end of January and I suggested that she might want to buy some extra pins of things she doesn't care for as much or duplicates of what she has (our DS has lots of various weeks' pins left) What pins would be good traders from the DS pins? Any?

Thanks again (and I'm sure you will all be glad when I go back to the family board LOL!)

Hi catwho, Pretty much anything will work. Just remember that the cast members cannot have more than one of a kind on any lanyard at a time. But they still will trade very good. Also there are going to be traders who are going to be needing some to complete there set. Good luck maybe we will see you there, we will be going for the month of Jan. Kris:earsboy:

they are all good traders from what i have heard. i traded some of the first weeks pins when i was at wdw in October and the CM's were thrilled to see them. Unfortunately i was too new to pin trading to know about the Friday contemporary meet but from everything i've read its a great place to trade and meet people from the boards. Have a great trip!

also you may want to order some pins online to use as traders on CM lanyards there are many sites out there where you can find some "cheappins". either way make sure you get pins you like, you will enjoy trading much more that way. no one wants to trade for a pin with someone who really doesn't like want that pin either!!

A good thing to do if you are sure you are going to get into the trading part is to buy at least 2 of every LE that you like. Or even more of the really good ones that are not big big editions and use them as traders for the times you are NOT at the parks. For those of us that live away from the parks and only go a few times a year it is good if you can afford it to get whatever nice LEs come out at the parks while you are there and then use them the rest of the year as traders... sometimes a pin will sit in your bag for a long time though so you have to be prepared to wait and not stress about a pin that is not trading well...

figgy

I agree that it may seem like a pin is not a good trader and sits and sits in your bag, but then suddenly one day it's hot. Being patient with your trader pins is VERY imporant.
