Let me count the ways...:cool1: I am currently a Prime member.... and loving Amazon! Great prices, shipping within 2 days (almost instant gratification) deals and discounts everywhere (Amex rebates woohoo) 5x point bonus for a different cc (further discounts down the road for vacation) subscribe and save food items for pantry items I use anyway (save an extra 15% on 5!) plus....I found my cute lil' bedroom t.v. I have been looking for at (drumroll) LOWER than my lowest price point! ($66! not a necessity,I know, but a fun little find)

I am having a ball ordering too!! 20 orders since the lightning deals started and we have 8 more days to go! I love not fighting the crowds and spending gas $$

I'm happy that you found great deals for yourself. Unfortunately for me Amazon has been a bit disappointing this year. In the past I have done 90% of my shopping with them but now its not even 10%. Out of all the lightning deals this year, I've only gotten 2 things. Granted the prices on some stuff have been good, its just that the items themselves have been awful compared to what they have had in their deals in years past. There have been years where my UPS man was delivering packages daily from Amazon, but this year he probably wonders if I've moved

My husband and I have said the same exact thing about the lightning deals this year. I still did a ton of online ordering though, so my UPS man definitely knows we still live here!

I love Amazon as well, I am not a prime member. Are the lightening deals only for that? We ordered my DD's big gift on black Friday at 6:30 am and got it Saturday at 11:00 am...unreal shipping! It was only $10 more than waiting in line at Best Buy which we would not do.

Another Amazon lover here. I do agree that the deals are not as good this year but I'm all stocked up on my books for 2014 from the 12 days of Christmas book deals!!

if you have an Amex card register it and spend $75 by 12/31 you get a $25 statement credit from Amex. Made me love my Amazon Prime even more this month. Chase Freedom is giving 5% cash back this quarter on Amazon too!

oh yes... I don't know how many lightning deals I've bought...I watch various threads and find deals, like slick deals,brads,etc.... my DH is wondering how I've been home sick all week, yet still able to shop...:lmao:

See, I didn't do many lightening deals (though I did get a Litter Genie on lightening deals!). However, I found great deals in some of the other deals on specific categories. Like Seasons 3-8 of Supernatural for $75ish. Or Skyrim Legendary Edition for $20. So, in my opinion, the deals are there. They are just not as in your face as previous years.

Eh, I'm just not a huge fan of Amazon. I hate how their prices fluctuate. I hate their new add on thing to get free shipping. I much prefer Target. Got most presents there, and at Costco, LL Bean, and Hallmark. I also love QVC!

Rats! I forgot about that! I charged everything to the one on file which is my Chase Disney!

ever since prime went to usps I have been getting packages after 2 days. So not cool.

mine are mostly UPS and mostly on time:confused3 but I have noticed that UPS is much slower than USPS in general for shipping now...don't know what's up with that.... I meant to say earlier I haven't bought any lightning deals...every deal I've gotten hasn't been a 'frontpage' type deal... that t.v. was a fast deal....:cool1: I've noticed that I can usually find comparable prices from Amazon to other sites, but sometimes it takes some waiting, and watching....

I'm amazed that I can order something at 9PM or on a Sunday and its still here in 2 days.
