Although tropical storm Cindy is currently making landfall in Louisiana, tropical storm Dennis is in the process of making its way toward the Gulf. It is expected to strengthen to a category 3 hurricane. The most likely course, at this time, is Louisiana or Mississippi. Some models have it making a turn toward Florida.

I think it is time for Alan to start tracking this storm for all of us!

where was that site where you could choose the storm from a pull down menu and it drew it for you ?

Sorry, for changing subject where did you get that birthday package in the picture from.

DD birthday when we arrive in Dec, and was wanting something delivered to our room.

It looks great.

Yet again sorry for changing subject.

Feralpeg makes them up herself and delivers them to you :) I arranged for one to be delivered for DW's birthday during our last trip and she loved it :teeth:

If you want to know more then send Feralpeg a PM and she'll take it from there ;)

Not posted anything up until now as Cindy never looked to be threatening Florida and I was waiting to see what Dennins was going to do :)

At the moment it looks like Dennis is heading NNW across the western Caribbean where he is likely to intensify quite rapidly. Current forcast are that he will make Hurricane strength within the next 12 hours and that further intensification is likely possibly making him ast strong as Category 4 by the time he reaches Cuba!

The image below shows that the forcast models are in pretty close agreement as to where Dennis is going to go, at least in the short term. Longer term there is some divergance caused by different interpretations as to the effect of Cindy passing through the area.

Dennis's predicted path has swung further East as of today bringing it closer to the Florida gulf coast than was originally predicted. Conditions are very favourable for Dennis to Strengthen further possibly as high as a category 3 hurricane. One of the models (which has a good track record) predicts Dennis will cross Cuba and the western Florida Keys before tracking up the western coast of Florida. The winds are also currently strongest in the NE quadrant which is not good news.

Latest model predictions for Dennis....
