I’ve got 2 OGT staterooms on Dream for my family if 5 in April. It’s our first time doing a guaranteed room. Is deck 2 still closed? Looking at deck plans most of the OV rooms are deck 2, then there are some 9 c/d rooms with slanted windows on decks 6/7. II’m curious if anyone has experience with an OGT rate during Covid?

I’m trying not to get my hopes up for an upgrade (a girl can dream) and care more if the rooms are close together. I didn’t realize how few OV rooms the dream class has.

I can't speak for the Dream, but on the Fantasy Feb 19 sailing, the doors to deck 2 staterooms were closed.

Many have been upgraded lately with decks 1 and 2 closed. Category 8 and 9 are both oceanview. Other than deck 2, oceanview staterooms tend to be forward/aft, but not necessarily right on the front/back; rooms on the sides of the ship will not have the slanted windows.
  • Category 8A: Decks 5 and 6; 2 large porthole windows
  • Category 8B: Deck 9; 1 large porthole window
  • Category 8C: Decks 7 and 8; 1 large porthole window
  • Category 8D: Decks 5 and 6; 1 large porthole window
  • Category 9A: Decks 5, 6, 7 and 8; 1 or 2 porthole windows
  • Category 9B: Deck 2; 1 porthole window
  • Category 9C: Decks 7 and 8; 1 obstructed porthole
  • Category 9D: Decks 6, 7 and 8; 1 obstructed porthole with limited ocean views
