Oga's Cantina--are you required to order something?

We have a reservation for Oga's on Friday and there's nothing at all on the menu that appeals to me. I do want to see the place and experience it and I will order something if I have to, but . . . do I have to? Or can I just show up for my reservation and hang out until the 45 minutes have expired and have a glass of water, maybe?

OK. Thanks. I'm not trying to take up the space of a paying customer and I assumed I would just have to pay the minimum that would be charged to my credit card anyway.

But I wanted to check. Because if there's nothing I want to order there, then, as long as we're talking morals here, it's extremely wasteful to order something and not consume it. I'd much prefer to just give them the money for the experience of being there and not order something I don't want and won't consume that they'd then have to trash. And, no matter what, I'd tip the server.

This is not a dining experience like BoG. That is a restaurant. This is a bar. I don't drink alcohol and none of the nonalcoholic beverages appeals to me in the least. I did, however, want to experience the place and, as I said, I was perfectly happy to pay the minimum--which I'd be charged if I never showed up and never canceled. Here I will do my best not to launch into a sarcastic tirade about being judged. I asked a simple question. I did not ask to have my integrity examined.

You don't have to order anything as long as you tip as you did.

Maybe give one of the non alcoholic drinks a chance? Who knows, maybe you’ll like it.

To be honest I was t impressed. We had reservations and ordered drinks. The drinks weren’t great and the atmosphere is chaotic. I wouldn’t go back. Just not for me.

The drinks are really fun. No one in my group drinks alcohol and we got one of each of them. Most were basically gatorade or fruit juice. We enjoyed them.

Most of the drinks are premixed. It's not a real, functional bar. They can't go off menu.
Okay. I don't doubt that most drinks are premixed. I would expect that they're premised onsite so individual components are on hand, most notably the ginger ale.

If you don’t order anything, nothing will be charged to your credit card.

I do think it would be considerate to order something if you’re going to hang out there for 45 minutes.

There is no minimum charge. You aren't charged anything unless you order something. The no-show fee is completely separate and is only charged if you don't check in for your ADR.

You’re already a paying customer considering I’m assuming you paid for your tickets to get into the park. I agree that comparing this to BoG is apples to oranges. Personally I don’t think you have an obligation to spend a cent in there. Everyone who enters the park is already a “paying customer”.
