Would you pay extra for pool heat?

Is it necessary?

Never been past September before-so unsure what to do...

As a GUEST renting from an owner ..... then I would pay for pool heat.

As an Owner of a villa ........ I would try and NOT have pool heat .

...... Now look at it another way.

How many are in your party & how long are you staying at the villa ... and how much are you expected to pay for heating ?

Say you are 4 in your party staying for 14 days and paying $ 126 for heating pool

That works out at $ 2.25 per person per day for a pool to be heated a few degrees ( $ 2.25 x 4 x 14 = $ 126 )

You can enjoy your swim or swims .. & be happy. Go for it

Don't be afraid to ask the rental owner/manager if you can add pool heat upon arrival. When you arrive you can assess your need based on the air temperature and current pool temperature. Many can bill you and then turn the heat on upon receipt of your payment.

Don't underestimate what a huge hit the private pool will be for the kids and how much time they will end up spending there. You'll probably realize that heating the pool will be worth the expense.

I would wait also till you get here. It could possible be cool, but October is usually very very warm, so you should not have to heat the pool. November yes, but most likely not October.
