Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww! 7 (count em.....7) whole hours to ourselves!! I am beside myself with joy! I don't get many moms nights out and to have one at WDW.... I am just tickled pink. Linda1 gets out more, but she is excited too.

We decided to head to MGM to ride ToT and RnR as many times as we could fathom! Since it was already 300 pm by the time we got there we ended up in a far lot........ but the tram was right there and scooped us up. I believe, like my DD that the tram ride is the first true WDW ride! We end up chatting with a couple of little girls ... the two cutest things (besides MY two daughters of course) They told us all about all the rides they went on ... what they are going to do next ... etc. Linda and I both laughed... We are here WITHOUT kids yet we are still drawn to seek some out! I am just not complete without my two sweeties.... Oh and Ozo too<grin>

Oh ... here is a little part we are ashamed of......... Since the boys hopper passes were punched at MK earlier ... we took them with us to MGM to secure extra FP's. We just walked in...... then exited and ran their passes thru.... ::::::Hanging head in shame::::::::: As it turns out, they we not needed. Everything was a walk on for the most part (15 min wait at ToT) I still feel guilty over this..... :(

We rode ToT first. I must admit..... I really want to go sometime when the wait is 45 mins or so, to better soak in the theming. Walking on.... you hardly have time to "get in the mood" I feel ToT is a THEME ride ... not a real big Thrill ride... (but that is me) Mind you I still love the thrill part of it! :D

We rode RnR twice in a row ... fun fun fun. First time we sat in front... THE BEST PLACE TO BE! Second time we thought we would give the last car a go... Started chatting with this older couple (upper 60's) in the row ahead, AKA, the second to the last car, and we told them what a wonderful smooth ride this was ... how it looped wonderfully and they shouldn't worry, no head banging on this one!.... WRONG! We discovered the last car is very jerky. :( The wife glared at us and said some nasty words.... :( We tried to explain that in the front it IS a smooth ride and how we had never ridden in the back before ... but she was going to have nothing to do with it. We both figure she would have hated the ride no matter where she sat and that her husband dragged her on it (good for him ... he was a cutie too!)

We thought about hitting ToT one more time but the pains in our stomachs said we must find food...... We had both eaten at the ABC commissary on previous trips and agreed NOT to eat there again. We toyed with seeing if we could get a last minute Fantasmic Dinner package at the Brown Derby, but didn't know if we were going to hang around until the show.....(two wild women hate to be pinned down)

So we opted to try the SciFi Dine In. ... where you sit in cars and watch old movies. It was darker than I had imagined. And they have done a wonderful job at noise reduction in the place. Very very quiet. Good thing we didn't bring our kids!

We decide to split two "Previews" The Spinach Feta Spread and the Smoked Chicken and Pork Spring rolls. We both order the House Salad. AND cocktails! We thought everything was wonderful. The Feta and Blue cheese we very sharp and filled you mouth with flavor. Everything was fresh. There could have been a few more Spring rolls to ease the sharpness of the cheeses ... but over all wonderful. OH the drinks were strong and yummy. I had the basic Barcardi Coke with Lime, but Linda had their Margarita. She said it packed a punch!

Unfortunately the drinks did us both in. We decide to head home. On the way out we see TGMR. It was fun. Had the gangster ending (up until yesterday when I read someone else's report I had no idea there was more than one ending!) Our tour guide reminded me of the blonde guy from Bosom buddies, Peter Scolari. ... again, his delivery was a bit stale. I know HE has been doing this all day ... but this is our first time on it ... show some enthusiasm. Ouch ... that sounded a little harsh ... but to me, certain rides are excellent or awful, depending on the CM running it. Period.

It is now about 7 pm. We still have 2 + hours to be away from our kids.... We decide to find a place close to home for another drink. TGIFriday's seemed like a safe place for two single gals ... and we were right.

We stroll in and head to the bar. Behind the bar are two hunky guys.... Scott and David. Sitting farther down the bar is an older fellow ... mid 50's maybe.... Towards the front of the bad is another guy ... youngish, wearing sun glasses. Near the bar, at a table are two women in there 30/40's too. We pick a spot between the young guy and the old guy, kinda next to the other two women, but at the bar. I am seated closest to the guy in the sunglasses.

Linda and ponder our choices ... do we go with something fruity? Or what.... I again opt for my old time fave... Barcardi Coke and lime.... Linda also sticks with her first choice... Margarita's on the rocks. (Linda's choice plays a crucial role later..... stayed tuned)

We settle in and chit chat with Scott and David. David is truly hunky! Whew! Scott on the other hand is brilliant behind the bar ... he can twist and toss those bottles a million times better than Tom Cruise in Cocktail. I highly recommend popping in to watch him! Drool over David and be amazed by Scott ... the perfect Friday's Duo!! Both are really sweet and put up well with my girlfriend and I's flirting and such! :D

Okay, ever since I sat down (two seats away from the young guy in sun glasses) he has been saying things low ... kinda under his breath about everything my girlfriend and I were talking about ... only loud enough for me to hear.....Stuff like Ohhhh Barcardi coke and Lime huh... YUM... I hear that goes great with waffles..... WEIRD. I could tell right away this guy had had a snoot full. Slurring his words ... swaying back and forth on the bar stool.... I try my best to ignore him.

THEN he starts speaking up ... asking my girlfriend and I stupid questions ... and frankly we don't want to end our evening talking with a drunk.... When he mentions he is a Stay At Home Dad (in response to our saying we are SAHMoms ... and goes on to say how much he misses his kids... I (kinda yelling) said THEN GO HOME!!!!! And turn my back to him...... (David over hears this and starts ringing the bell!!) The guy gets up and leaves ... everyone ... starts cheering..... My girls friend and I are clueless ... apparently they have trying to get this guy to leave for 2 hours. They stopped serving him, yet he hung on. I don't know why they didn't call the cops or anything but I sure was happy at all the attention.! :D I was a hero at Fridays! ROFLMBO Now you would think that was the best part of this story.... NOPE.... The best part is my girlfriend thought the guy was blind and I was rude to him, see felt bad for the blind guy! SNORT!!!

Now what could possibly top that you asked??? Well, this started us chatting with everybody... ESP the older guy on the other side of Linda.... Nice guy, goes to Fridays a couple of times a week ... self employed ... seems normal enough..... Then, when the subject of Scott's sexuality came up, this guy confesses to me that he in Monosexual, by choice! How does one respond to that?? LOL I said hey man ... what ever floats your boat. And changed the subject! Too funny! Linda and I figure we will play some sort of roll in his er.... um.... whatever............ later........ <snicker>

What a great night! Linda pounded the Margarita's pretty good so I drove home.... She tossed her cookies all over RT 192 :( I am ashamed of being a tourist.

Anyway ... all n all a great evening. Friday's was the high point for me..... :)

Next post........ Magic Kingdom revisited.

An interesting evening out you two had - thanks for posting!

Sounds like the two of you had a wonderful time!

ROTFLMAO!!!!!! That's just a hoot! Only thing worry's me is i sure wished you had ended with...........and then we called a cab to take us home. I am so worried about drinking and driving and so parionoid to hear when people do that. I'm glad you all made it safe. Great post.

I had one drink at MGM on a full stomach and it was over an hour before we left the park and headed to Fridays.... At Fridays I nursed two drinks (over 2 hours) and we had wings.... I was fine to drive... my girlfriend on the other hand...... :( Hope that clears things up.... I do not drink and drive....

I did notice something I said in the first post... about being done in by the drinks... by that I meant we no longer had the energy nor desire to be turned upside down or wait in lines.... Sorry for any confusion!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
That cracks me up! Not so much that he IS monosexual but that he shared that information with you at TGIF!! The whole scenario is too funny to imagine. That could be out of a movie or something. Do weird things happen to you a lot? If they do start writing them down, someday you could have a bestseller!!!

I loved reading about your days. I think you should go into writing books. It was just like I was there with you. And anyone having kids. --you nailed it !!!. Where is the rest of it????? I'm waiting to read the rest of your trip. :)
