I'm looking for an offsite place for Feb 25-March 3. Our family is gifting a trip to Florida to celebrate my brother completing cancer treatment and to give him a "rest-cation" from being the care coordinator for my 92 year old mother. He's a pretty great guy. The reason for the bedroom with a door is that he is a loud snorer; I am a light sleeper who is content with sleeping on a couch. We have had a couple of good experiences at Blue Heron Beach resort (the views of the lake on one side and Disney Springs on the other are pretty good). Do y'all have other suggestions?

If you get a 2BR condo, you won't have to sleep on the couch. The aforementioned Bonnet Creek is one option, but the condos/townhomes at Windsor Hills are another. WH is just south of Animal Kingdom Lodge off Sherberth road, and is a very convenient location. It was my go-to before we started staying at timeshares.

You can find Windsor Hills rentals on VRBO, among other places.

There are tons so the question is do you want a full amenity "condo" like kitchen, laundry etc OR are you using it as home base and okay with a "suite" style with kitchenette or modified kitchen?

If condo works ...

Marriott has quite a few, Bonnet Creek is a favorite, Sheraton Vistana Resort or Sheraton Vistana Villages, Lake Buena Vista Spa is not far. List is long on these.

If a suite style works ...

Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, Sonesta ES Suites ... both Homewood and Sonesta offer 2 bedroom suites that are fairly reasonable. These are all right outside Disney property.

I don't plan to cook but may have easy breakfast in the room. No need for a full kitchen, just a bedroom with a door. Thank you:)

These sound like good options. Thank you:)

Wyndham Bonnet Creek is my favorite non-Disney resort for large parties (or small parties who want space). Bonus, it's actually *on* property.
We are Wyndham rewards members. I only see regular rooms on their website. It does coincide with the Princess Marathon. They may be sold out. Thank you

Bonnet Creek area hotels are super convenient for being (technically, I guess) off-site. We stayed at the Hilton and enjoyed it.

Thanks for all the comments. Ultimately, I went with Blue Heron Beach Resort. Their rates are great. We like the calmness of the lake on one side and the views of Disney fireworks from the other side.
