We are a very large family of 9! 6 adults (2 are 18), 13, 10, and 2 years old. We have decided that we'd like to stay at the Ventana Villas for 3 nights (before we leave on a week long West. Carib. Cruise aboard the Magic~ All of us are doing Epcot one day - the next we aren't sure. I know personally, I would like to be away from the crowds, hang out by the pool and read a good book. I think the young people will do Animal Kingdom. ANWAY, I'm concerned about the transporation to Epcot/AK. Has anyone stayed here? What did they think of the transporation? Thanks so much in advance! By the way, we are going the end of July. Are we goingt o die in the heat??? Or are we going to be having soooo much fun that we won't even notice???

Could you possibly mean the Sheraton VISTANA Villas? Ventana does not sound familiar. J from J

PS...We went in June of 2001 and it was hot!

Sorry, I haven't stayed there yet, we are going in Oct. This is what their site states they offer:

Transportation
Attraction Transportation
Scheduled shuttle buses are available for a nominal fee to the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort, Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios, with taxi service available to Pleasure Island, Sea World® of Florida, Universal Studios Florida®, Wet 'n Wild.

It also states on their site that most Disney Attractions are within 3 - 6 miles of the Vistana - except animal kingdom which shows 15 miles. Below is a link to their site. If you cannot click on it, just copy and paste.

You probably mean "Vistana". It is a great place to stay. There are great pools there and it is 15 minutes to WDW. You will not die of heat stroke. You will have so much fun you won't notice the heat, trust us.

Expand please on your question about transportation. It is better to drive back and forth to WDW.

Vistana, Vistana, Vistana.... okay, I have it now!!!

Because there are so many of us, we really wanted to be able to take the bus transporation that the VISTANA offers. I called this morning and it looks like there are busses that leave about every 1/2 hour until around noon, then the same thing for the evening. The gal I spoke with was at the consierge desk and she said that in July (that's when we are going), the times would be different because the parks stay open later. Now, I was also told by her, that if you are a RENTER, the transporation is FREE. If you are an OWNER the transporation round trip is $7/per person.

I love this website!! I've learned so much and appreciate all of the replies.

BTW, we were originally going to stay at the HIFS, I called and there will only be one pool available during our stay because of the renovations going on.....can't imagine how crazy that pool is going to be! No thank you!
