We just got back for a quickie stay...1 night...We stayed at the Hampton Inn West Maingate and were pleasantly surprised.
Paid 54$ - the room was clean and neat, had a microwave and a refrigerator, iron and board, hair dryer and continental breakfast in the morning.

If we would have stayed and listened to their sales pitch for their new resort (1 1/2 hours) they would have given us 2 tickets to Disney for 10$ ea. or 100 disney dollars...

I would have but we were on a tight schedule with the pin even there....

Oh, the price for AStars was 99$ and this room was much nicer.

Just to let anyone know who needs to save some$$$$$

I was thinking about trying this exact same hotel at some point on a future trip as it close to the hotel I stayed in before.

I got a chance to take a look at some of the room pictures a while ago on some site I was browsing and it looked very comfortable as well as spacious. With all the amenties you recieved for that price (and this location too) was great in comparison to the All Stars.

I did not know at all about their continental breakfast; thanks for posting this info.

Where exactly are they located? How long of a drive to WDW?

highway 192 off of exit 25B. There is alot of construction on the street but the way you go to WDW is behind the hotel down a Sherbeth street...It takes you right to the Animal Kingdom, they also had a bus service to the park but we were taking our car as we only stayed over 1 night.

Animal Kingdom maybe 10 min.
we went to the Magic Kingdom, I would say 15 min...that was at 8 in the morning.

One more thumbs up for the Hampton Inn Maingate West. We stayed there the night we arrived last year, and was very impressed. If no great offers come up for on site hotels in December, we might be spending our whole trip there this year. :p
