I'm hoping somebody might know if the following hypothetical situation is allowed/okay.

My roommate and I are staying on property at ASMu in early December for 7 nights, including attending MVMCP on the 6th. Meanwhile, my parents, two nieces, and nephew will also be in town staying with local family, and also attending MVMCP on the same night.

Dad asked me today what our plans for party day were, and roomie and I were planning to shop a little at Disney Springs that morning, then we have Afternoon Tea reservations at GF before heading to the party at 4pm. Dad says they are planning on hitting Disney Springs that morning as well, and asked if there's a way to not have to move his car around all day.

Would I be terribly wrong in thinking they could come to our resort that morning and catch Disney Transportation to Disney Springs with us and then later catch a bus to a monorail resort to head to Magic Kingdom for the party? Or would that be frowned upon since they're not staying onsite?

It could definitely be an issue at the Contemporary or an Epcot resort since a lot of people park (or try to park) at those resorts for park access (since you can easily walk to MK or Epcot), but I can't see it being an issue at ASMu.

*Technically* they should be paying for parking at the park.

But, are they likely to run into any problems parking their car at ASMu? I would say no.

I really think Dad's looking more for convenience than skipping out on the parking fee.

I hadn't thought of this though, is there a bus from the TTC to Disney Springs? Could he go ahead and pay to park at Magic Kingdom then bus over to Disney Springs for the morning? Or am I remembering that wrong? I've only stayed onsite twice before, so my Disney transportation knowledge is kinda limited and slightly rusty.

But he could park at TTC and monorail to the Poly & catch a bus to DS from there. Then on the way back, bus to CR and a short walk to MK.

In this case I would just park at the TTC so the car would be convenient at the end of the party, then walk to the Poly (or monorail or boat) and take the bus to Disney Springs and back. Especially if they have kids I would leave the car where it would be most convenient at the end of the day rather than the beginning.

I have no doubt he could visit you at ASM and leave the car there for the day and visit you. However, that would mean waiting for a bus back from MK to ASM at the end of the party and then driving back to the home with tired kids. IMHO it's well worth the parking fee to have the car at the TTC!

I would explain the situation to the front desk, and ask for a parking pass. The worst they can say is no.
