Offsite Dinner Shows

It is just me and my wife going (we are in our 40's) but we may bring my mother to one of the shows (she is 71). Last trip we went to Medieval Times and we thought it was pretty good. We are thinking about 1 or 2 dinner shows for our stay at Disney. We have done the Spirit of Aloha and the Hoop De Doo multiple times. We are also doing a murder mystery train dinner show in Fort Meyers before heading over to our week at Disney.

I did go to the Pirate's Dinner show many years ago and was not impressed.

I'll second the recommendation of the Outta Control Dinner Show. Tony Brent is part magic, part comedian, and and absolute master of his craft. The show is totally family friendly and has tons of audience participation. The food is good (salad, pizza, popcorn, cake, beverages including alcohol) and plentiful.

The show itself is great for kids and adults alike. When we were there, guests were anywhere from 2 to 90 and the entire room was engaged. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We are in our 40s and took our 9 year old son. We were seated with 5 or 6 retired teachers who also enjoyed themselves tremendously.

I was looking at going to the Universal luau on my next trip. It doesn't require park admission. Haven't tried it yet, so not sure how good it is.

It is true that it is family oriented, but don't let that deteor you. We took my son there for his birthday less than 2 weeks after my dad died. My mom went with us. It was the only thing that made us laugh that hard for a few hours.

I will say though that we really enjoy Sleuth's when we go, but it has been about 6 years.
