Good Evening!

Just thought I'd give a brief run down of the places we ate while in Orlando last week. I really appreciate the helpful hints from this board so hope I can repay the favor.

Saturday evening went to Pacino's on Irlo Bronson Hwy. They said it would be a 20 minute wait. Not bad on a Saturday evening so we waited, and waited, and waited. Turned out to be closer to 50-60 minutes. We were ok with that till we got seated and didn't get waited on for another 20 minutes. The waitress got our order FINALLY and we waited another 20 minutes before our appetizer came out. Our DD was very tired - travel day - and all she wanted was noodles with butter on. They brought her two different kids dinners - neither correct. There wasn't a table in sight that was happy. People were waiting to get drinks, bills, food or whatever. Pacino's was clearly overwhelmed that night and couldn't handle the customers, but kept seating more anyway. Finally after the second wrong kids dinner, and no waitress to be seen, we searched for our waitress to pay for the appetizer and milk my daughter drank and left. She talked to the manager who said we didn't have to pay for anything which was nice and we left.(First time in my life I've ever left a restaurant like that.) I'm sure their food is fine and the restaurant is very pretty, but I'd stay away on a busy weekend night. We ended up at Mc Donald's with three happy meals and brought them back to the hotel to eat. Not a very good way to start vacation. Service F, food ????

We did go to many other places with MUCH better results than Pacino's! We had dinner at the Longhorn Steakhouse on Irlo Bronson the next night. Service was speedy, steaks were fine and we were happy campers. Food similar to an Outback Steakhouse. Service A, Food B+

Ate at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney for lunch. Get there early or you will be waiting for a table. We got there as it opened and ended up waiting 20 minutes for a table. By the time we left it was packed. I had a Chinese chicken salad. It was good, nothing spectacular - but HUGE serving. DH had a chicken sandwich and DD had mac & cheese which she ate every bite. It was overpriced like everything in Disney but we needed a spot to cool down and this was something different from McDonald's. I wouldn't be afraid to split a meal here. Portions are generous. Food B, Service A

Lunch at Race Rock on Intl. Drive. The restaurant with the big monster trucks outside. Very interesting place - especially for guys into racing, etc. Menu was pretty limited and food was ok - nothing special. I wouldn't want to go there when it was busy because the service was slow. Food B-, Service B-

Dinner at Crabby Bill's in Kissimmee on Irlo Bronson Hwy. Food was HOT and good. We aren't real adventurous in our seafood so we stuck to the basics. I had a fried shrimp dinner - very good and DH had a sample platter with fish, shrimp and some other seafood - he like everything except the stuffed crab. Food B+, Service B+

Giordano's on Irlo Bronson Hwy. DH had pizza - he was looking for 'thin' crust but their thin crust isn't very thin (it was good!) I had lasagna. Mmmmmmmm! They were also happy to produce a plate of spaghetti with butter for DD. Although they didn't seem to have a 'kids menu' and I forgot to see what they charged for the plate of spaghetti. (The deep dish pizza looked out of this world!) Service was spotty but it was worth the wait. Food A, Service B

I hope this helps all the future travelers. A lot of great places to try! Let us know your hits and misses when you return. (Hope this wasn't too long!) :)

Great reviews! Thanks. Would be great to see this more on this board. Over on the Disney restaurants, you get reviews of every snack everyonne ate, but here we don't get too many rundowns.

Good job!
