Offsite and getting ADRs

I'm fairly nervous about my ADRs b/c of all the problems everyone has been having but hopeful that many of those glitches will be worked out by my 90 days.

BUT, am I going to get any of my ADRs? I won't get the +10 so not only will I be calling every day for 8 days, but I'm really worried that I won't get any reservations b/c everyone that is onsite will get them before me with their +10.

Has anyone had luck or not staying offsite and making ADRs? Last time we were onsite, so I have no experience with this. :confused3

We're staying off site and have gotten everything we want. We didn't even call at 90 days. We even got a befor park opening Tusker house reservation for 6 about 3 weeks ago- so 55 days or so before our trip.

We didn't try for Chef Mickey's but we did get: Crystal Palace 8:10am, 50's Prime Time for lunch (exact time we requested), Tusker House 8:25 am, and Whispering Canyon Cafe with absolutely no problems.

That's great!

I'm most concerned about Chef Mickey's our first night, on my dd's birthday. If I don't get it, we'll all be pretty disappointed. At least I'll know my first day of making ressies so the next day I can try again??

Keep trying again!

One thing that Disney does is to not release all of their tables for the +10 crowd. (That's why some staying onsite don't get their LeCellier reservations when they call 90 days before they check in, but are reserving for the second or third day of their vacation)

Actually the on site guests would be wise to call 90 days before they are dining at a restaurant (when they can't get something at 90 +10). That's the day that Disney releases all of the tables for that restaruant into their reservation system.

I stay offsite all the time now and never have had a problem with getting my dining reservations.

I'd call as soon as you can for your Chef Mickey's reservation since that's very important to you. You do know that you will have to call back every day for each of your vacation days, right? If you don't get Chef Mickey's that first day, you can simply ask each of the other days you have to call if anything is available.

I would also highly recommend that you have an alternative dining choice just in case the worst happens and Chef Mickey's is impossible. Prepare yourself for the worst and if it doesn't happen, you'll be very happy.

We stayed offsite once and won't do it again for convenience reasons. However, we never had a problem getting our reservations for that trip. We got everything we wanted to. The only restaurants I can see you really having problems with are Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's (breakfast - I'm pretty sure it's easier to get a dinner res) and Cinderella's Royal Table.

We are staying offsite this coming June (8 nights) and I got all my ADRs including LeCellier. Sci Fi is the only one I couldn't get.

Yep, I have an alternative if we don't get Sci-fi b/c I've read that most people can't get it?? Strange! :confused3

Yes, I'm aware I will have to call each day starting at my 90 day mark! We're staying offsite this time in a house b/c we have 8 people (IL's!!!) and need the space, but luckily, it's just 2 miles from the gates! :)

We have always stayed off-site because it's a lot cheaper for us (my mom's an owner through Interval International) and have never had a problem getting the ADRs that we want when I call 90 (or 180 back in the day) days out. We find it really convenient off-site with the rental car!

We are staying off site and recently booked ADR's, no problem. I agree, just keep trying to call back if you don't get what you want the first time. And be flexible with your times. Good luck.:thumbsup2
