Hi all, does anyone know if there is any free parking sites offsite from Universal? We will be going there a few times while we are staying and at $15 bucks a hit thats a mass amount of dough!

Depending on how much you're going, you could buy one AP and get free parking. You get 15% off multi-day tickets(you could buy the rest of your party's tickets with that discount) and 10% at restaurants and merchandise.

One preferred AP is $260 vs. $156 for a 4 day adult park to park ticket. So $104/more, but....

You could get your other 4 day tickets for $133 instead of $156 AND you would save $15/day parking plus 10% off food and merchandise. AND if you go back next year before your AP expires, you wouldn't have to pay for your ticket and you would get the same savings again. AND if you wanted to stay one night on site and get 2 days of FOTL access, you could get AP rates too.

Or depending where you live you could always walk.:confused3

Pretty sure you could also park somewhere and take a city bus to save money, but it sure would cost some time. Time to me is worth more than money when I'm on vacation.

If you have about 4 vehicles going, can you park 1 using your AP, then one of the cars sits down at guest drop off, the person that parks meets them there after parking, and then does it again with the same ap in car #2? We wouldnt do it for all cars.

No...you can not. That's trying to cheat the system.

And I'm sure it will show in their system that the card was already used for parking a few minutes before. You could park 4 cars if you have 4 APs though.

You could also drive through the gates really fast without stopping and then hide in the parking lot. Or you could hire some for less than $15 to distract the gate attendants.

Or you could just pay the 15 bucks to park.

You've never tried to go around the system and save a couple bucks before? Good job livin the straight and narrow, respect.

You could wait and go after 6pm because then it is only $3 unless they are having a big event.

Four cars is $60.00 (well $45.00 if one can legitimately use the AP free parking perk), so not a couple of bucks.:sad2: To add to what the others have said, no you can't cheat Universal out of the $45.00. Just pay the parking fee. If so many people are going that you need four cars, just divide it among that many people.

Mostly children, I would feel too bad taking it!:lmao:

You could take one load of people, drop them off , then go back and get a second load, etc., then park the car with the last load. Again a time waster, but some people will do it to save money. Or stay somewhere with a shuttle.

Thank you so much for your reply. I actually seemy thought about this and we plan on going at least 2 days to the parks in the day and our tickets would include unlimited Horror Fest, so we would probably go back at least 3 times. My girl is a Florida Resident and I didn't know that with the Annual Pass she could buy other tickets at 15% off. This totally changes my math!

So its a def that if she gets an AP, she gets to buy the tickets at 15% off? :goodvibes

Stay offsite off Universal Blvd, take the I-Drive trolley (Universal Blvd route) as it leads to the hotels off Major Blvd and Caravan Court and walk to the parks. Only thing is trolleys take awhile lol.

Well, walking from Universal parking lot takes awhile too, LOL. We are thinking about springing for valet the 2-3 days we are there next year. I am always tired by the time I get to the park entrance.

Plus, unlike Disney where you just flash your AP and they let you drive thru, Universal swipes the AP to apply/register the parking and they also check your ID on occasion. much more difficult to game the system.
