offline google map - ipad app

Just thought i would share... I have a wifi ipad and was creating screen shots of areas I might need maps for on the way down - which didn't really seem to be the best way to go about doing that. So I found out through an internet search that you can use the google map app by using this little trick - if you zoom in on an area and type "ok maps" in the search bar it will cache that section. You can't cache a very large section and it will tell you to zoom in if it is too big. When you are offline you can zoom in all of the way. Google using google map app offline for a better explanation - but it does work.
