Hey I have a million questions tonight. My fiance's cousin is a preacher in Mississippi and I wondered if any of you knew if he could preform the ceremony. We are both prodestant religons but his beliefs are MUCH more conservative than ours are...I laughed, the preacher is baptist, my fiance said that he would just have to be"methodist" for the day. But if we did decide to use him could he do the ceremony legally speaking

Yes...

The legal crap is all take care of in the courthouse.

My Aunt is a Deaconess in the UK. She was the natural choice for us to perform our ceremony. The trouble that kept coming in was the legal stuff becuase she's not from this country... well, we took care of that mess when we got married at the courthouse last year. Technically, you're married in the eyes of the law when the papers are signed. You're married in the eyes of your God when you feel you are... in some religions, this is much more clearly defined than others. There shouldn't be a problem as long as your legal documents are OK.

i know others here on this board have had out of state reverends & others ordained/notaries perform there ceremonies at disney. your best bet is to contact the osceola county clerks office/courthouse at 1-407-343-3530 http://www.osceolaclerk.com to find out what documents or proof they need for your marriage to be legal.

My dad is an ordained baptist minister, and is only liscenced to perform ceremonies in Oklahoma. I believe you have to get consent from a judge, or something. My dad isn't performing our ceremony, so I honestly don't know.

Hi there... our pastor is originally from NJ, now lives in PA and has peformed ceremonies in several states and in the Bahamas, and the US Virgin Islands... He's the one that always made sure everything was in order so he could perform the ceremony. If your Pastor isn't sure I'm sure you could call the courthouse like someone suggested, but it should probably be info he needs to find out because he will probably know what documentation they are talking about when he asks... just a thought... :sunny:

As far as Disney goes, they don't care, as long as it's legal. :earsboy:
