Officiant suggestions/reviews?

I am looking into officiants and was wondering if there is a thread with reviews on officiants who are often used by Disney. I would also appreciate any suggestions. TIA!

Hello and congratulations!!

I will be posting my TR in a little bit, which will include my review of my officiant, but I wanted to say:

DO NOT USE REVEREND KEVIN.
HE FORGOT TO DO A CHUNK OF MY CEREOMNY.
HE ALSO MET ME, AND STRAIGHT AWAY ASKED FOR PAYMENT, AND PROMPTLY HIGH-TAILED IT AWAY AFTER THE CEREMONY--HE DIDN'T EVEN TAKE A PICTURE WITH US!

We used Rev. Randal Miller and were very pleased. He was very quick to reply to our inquiry (made through his website). He called us about 10 days before our Vow Renewal to confirm everything and then about a week before he sent us a draft of the ceremony. On the day of we met him in the lobby of the GF and he really put us at ease chatting while we waited to go out to the ceremony site. I'm very happy with our choice to use him.

I used Rev. Tim Herring and was really disappointed. I had read so many positive reviews on the board and was baffled by his behavior on the day of our ceremony. He stumbled over the words of the ceremony and was really unfriendly towards DH and I. I would not recommend him.

I also feel the same about rev. Kev. I did review him in my PJ, but it was a similar experience to PuttinOnes experience above.

My ceremony was beautiful, but our personal interactions iwth him left me with a bad taste in my mouth and he also hightailed it after the ceremony after shoving the license in my mom & MIL's face to sign. No pictures of the signing which disappointed me.

We are using Rev. Jack Day. He sounds so friendly on the phone and I only heard great things about him. I wasn't on these forums when I picked him. It was just because I liked his name. I am so happy that I chose him. I can't wait meet him.

We are having Ron Rozenzweig do our ceremony in just 4 weeks . Did anybody else have him and what did you think of him?

We're penciled in with Jack Day. I read a LOT of reviews, saw some video and am really happy with everything he's about. He got back to me the same day in the sweetest email, and is sending me a packet in the mail. I think we'll be very happy with him

May I ask where you saw video? We are using Rev. Jack Day too and I'd love to see some action!

We used Jack Day and loved him. He was truly the sweetest man and it felt like we'd known him for a lot longer than two days! He did a beautiful job on the ceremony, we got so many compliments on it. After the ceremony he came over to talk to us, I asked DH if he had paid him yet and he said no! I sent DH right away to get his payment since I know the officiants are usually really busy but Rev. Jack was so nice and just said, "Oh, he didn't have to run and get that yet". He spent a few minutes wishing us well and our whole experience with him was just wonderful.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions, we narrowed it down to Jack Day and Luther Kistler. I am actually leaning towards Luther Kistler, even though I have heard so many great reviews about Jack Day, I have been really pleased with the contact from Luther, and he was a pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church in FL, which is the exact same name as the church I go to in Buffalo, so I thought it was a sign!

We're in the same place. We've also narrowed it down to Luther and Day as well. I haven't heard any reviews on Luther, but I loved the pack he sent me and the tone of his communications. Anyone ever have Luther as their officiant?

May I ask where you saw video? We are using Rev. Jack Day too and I'd love to see some action!

sorry for the delay... i actually youtubed disney wedding and just started watching videos one night. i watched quite a few random ones. i know i've also followed links from trip reports. i've lurked for so long that i'm not even sure who's i've seen. i believe that jack day was also on the WE channel's special as well... if i'm not mistaken. he has a great sense of humor and is just the sweetest.

We are penciled in with Jack Day (as of today!!) I have a really good feeling about him and am really at ease with the decision after reading all of the reviews about his work! Yes, finally one decent thing off of my to do list!

My husband and I used Rev.Tim Herring on October 22 and could not say enough nice things about him. He made everyone in the bridal party feel at ease and added some humor to the wedding. After the ceremony the guest were commenting on how well he did the ceremony. He does have a strong personality though so if your not use to that type of humor you may be a little put off.

We are penciled in with Rev Jack Day. When I spoke to him on the phone, he was so sweet and even though our wedding is still 6 months away, we are very pleased with our decision! He sent our packet out quickly and we are getting ready to fax & email our ceremony!

AAAAAH!! I am so glad I found this thread. I have recently discovered that my pastor will not be able to marry me and my DF since he is not ordained! He looked into the situation and the soonest this can happen is August 2011. Our wedding is May 2011 so I am extremely bummed since having someone who know me, marry me was/is super important to me... but I figured I should book someone before it's too late in case I can't find another solution... please keep the reviews coming and if there are any links to info on officiants I'd love to see them!!!!
