They provide shade and sun with plenty of room to hang out. We shall see how it goes with Cabanas right above us, that is the only thing that is worrisome, but I'm hoping that leaving the tv on will drown out that noise.

I'm August and am checking everyday like a crazy person. Don't think I'll be getting any fairy dust on an upgrade though as the cruise seems pretty sold out. So exciting either way

We had originally booked a Verandah, but changed to Oceanview 9C GTY due to the falling Canadian dollar. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade to a verandah or at least a 9A or 9B. We are nowhere near my BIL now.

You should check the site every day. Mine was listed on the reservation on the Disney experience at least five days before I got an email with my room number.

We booked 9c GTY a few months ago and just got our assignment 7002 which is 9c

We are at 274 days.

I always do GTY and have never been assigned a room this far out. The other two parties in our group are GTY and are still waiting.

Woke up this morning intending to pay the final payment for our October cruise. Checked my email first and there was a payment reminder from Disney. Clicked the link and it took me to our reservation and the room assignment still said "GTY". I made the payment and when I went back to my email, there was the payment confirmation and our room assignment...6192! Anyone with experience and/or pictures of this room, please share if you don't mind. We're so excited!!! Here are the details:

forgive me for my ignorance, but I thought GTY was something they assigned at the port when you arrived? I just downgraded my 10A reservation to an 11B GTY to save $504. I was figured I'd get my room assignment at the port.
