Question is: Why don't the American networks show any of this stuff live? Case in point: CBC feed is showing 5000m speed skating, biathlon coming up. NBC feed is showing Trading Spaces for Kids.

It's weird isn't it? NBC always does that! I don't know if they just don't have the capacity and expertise to air things live? On CBC I watched the first gold medal being won this morning in Nordic combined skiing - NBC was running cartoons.

Sure do wish we could get more 'real time' events!!! It would have been nice to see the Nordic combined since we have someone we know competing. I couldn't stand waiting until this afternoon to see how he did, so finally went to nbcolympics.com to see. He placed 33rd but it's his first time at the Olympics so maybe next time Brett!!! Used to babysit his dad!!! Thank heaven for DVRs...I'll be watching Olympics pretty non-stop...need to record everything else!!!

Just watched Chad Hedrick get the first American gold medal for this olympics for speed skating. Hopefully, Canada will get on that podium soon!
