Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

I was able to get H&v dinner on May 23 at 630. That was at 830 this am.

Called back again at 11 and didn't get anything for May 20 or 22 as possible alternative dates. This trip is a surprise for my wife so I wanted to have a back up in case she wanted to go a different day.

Also may 23 works because it'll give us time to hit rope drop at MK for the 24 hr event then leave to nap. Then hit HS for this dinner and fantastic before returning to MK for the late night shift!

With the special breakfast now taking place, I need some advice...
I DEFINITELY want to be there for the "storm troopers show" for when they open the park, What time would this be projected to start again? What time would you recommend getting to the park to get a good viewing spot for this? After the show, I will head straight to JTA to sign up my son. My Sci-FI ressie is at 9:10am. I am hoping they will allow me to pick the JTA after our ressie, do they allow that? With that being said here is my plan from park opening:

Sign up at JTA
Sci-Fi at 9:10am
Get a "somewhat" viewing for the parade
Go to JTA

I think the morning will be strictly SWW stuff..Characters,parades,etc. and I will save my FP+ for the evening when we return after dinner.

Get to the park around 7 to 7:15, they have opened the park as early as 7:20am and the opening skit is right there at Hollywood Blvd and Vine, stay on the left side of Hollywood Blvd so you can be closer to Indy Theater. After you can go straight to JTA sign ups, I have heard people being able to ask for a particular time.
Having a ressie for 9:10am will put you around 10 to 10:15am leaving. I expect the parade to be at the same time as last year, at 11am, at that time there will be very few good spots left.

Many people are asking about the parade time. Like I said I still expect for it to be at 11am.

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before but I was wondering if all the SW characters signed autographs. thanks a lot!

Thank you! :thumbsup2

The Jedi Training has always been accommodating for ADR's but I'm not sure on the special SWW ones. I would think they would be...

Do the Star Wars Disney characters have special autographs or is it the basic Mickey Mouse autograph?

It's been a while since we got their autographs but I think it's just Mickey, Minnie...

Thank you. We are doing a photo mat for all of our autographs, so I am trying to figure out how many autographs would be duplicates. Although if they signed "Jedi Mickey" etc., I would probably do seperate photo and mat for that, because that is just cool.:thumbsup2 It really is no wonder that my husband thinks I have lost my mind when it comes to WDW planning. :rotfl2:

I know Hollywood & Vine is a buffet. Anyone know about the Sci-Fi breakfast? I was so excited, I didn't even think to ask, LOL. Not that it really matters, but I'm just curious. Maybe a family style, kind of like at Ohana? I doubt they'd go through the trouble of setting up and taking down a buffet every day, since Sci-Fi isn't normally a buffet.

well, its Disney World, so I'd expect some thin soggy Disney bacon, a scoop of Disney scrambled egg stuff, a couple of Disney sausage links, a hard Disney buicuit, and maybe some cold Disney potatoes or a Mickey waffle. Maybe they'll snaz it up with a little Kessel spice or nerf patties.

They are signatures are exactly like they would sign when they are anywhere else wearing anything else, e.g., "Donald Duck #1" etc.

Thanks to everyone who posted about the Character breakfast and dinner!!!! I was able to call DVC and book both of them. SO EXCITED!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

:cool1::):cool1::cheer2::):cool1:

I got DH to call while I was sleeping and we are booked for the breakfast! Very happy! Although I just realized we booked our breakfast on the day my IL's arrive so I need to confirm with them what time of day they arrive. They are staying on site so I don't have to pick them up but I don't want to be super rude by being completely unavailable. ;)

I was able to book the breakfast at SciFi for May 30 at 9:00 am. $51 per person. OUCH!! I will wait, and watch the boards for posts after the first weekend to see if it is worth it or if I should cancel.
