What time do they actually starting handing out FPs?

Or do they give you a number to line up?

Help! I haven't been to SWW for at least 5 yrs. Where do you line up? I will have had foot surgery in be in an ECV. Will it be accessible? How do I get there so early/ middle of the night from VWL? Buses don't go there in the middle of the night?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

From what I recall it was around 7am when they started but they hand out wristbands earlier than that. You have to stay in line until you get your FP and the lines are right outside Hs, they normally start all the way over to the right before the ticket windows but after security and are clearly marked. You will have to show your stuff to security when they arrive in the morning but they walk the line and do the bag checks so it's very easy.

You'll have to take a cab over if you want to arrive there in time to get a celeb FP.

It varies on what time they start based on the day, number of people in line, etc.. Best advice is to get there as early as is practicable under the circumstances.

There is no number to line up - just be present, identify the star's line you want, and be in it.

Buses have run early, I would say 6:45 ish, in my experience. Others may have better knowledge on that issue. My first year, I got all the autographs I wanted and only took the bus. That said, I had my car lst year, and was in line for 5 with Ray Park. I would say that if you want to do the middle of the night thing, a cab may be an option. Anyone else have suggestions?

Is there a special photopass for SWW. If so, can I pre-order it? :confused3

Not that I am aware of. They have the standard photo pass options that can be pre-ordered, and, where possible, used, but, I don't recall seeing photopass photographers with the characters. I may be wrong, as I only did that once when the line was way short, and handed the handler my camera when I did it.

Thats a good question that I don't think has been covered... do buses start running super early so we can get in line..? We will be staying at POP but I am assuming it will be the same everywhere..?

Not super early. Earliest I have had the bus was at 6:30/6:45. And it was not from Pop. I was at Saratoga Springs for that one.

Resort buses start running resort-wide about 6:30a-ish. Cab may be the only option prior to that.

Gotcha, thanks guys. I don't think we are excited enough to jump in a cab (week 3 here), but will make sure they're gone when the buses CAN get us there. Thanks! :goodvibes

Just note the "ish" part. Don't know exactly how much ish "ish" is. ;)

Oh absolutely - we'll always check with someone when its that early if we have a doubt they are going! :goodvibes

Ive never been able to get a bus at SSR until 7am to HS. And the first bus gets you there approx 7:30. And Im referring specifically to SWWs since thats the only time we are looking for such and early bus. lol

The Force was strong with me that day. I had a standby for Anthony Daniels and was able to get in to see him. He also walked right by me on his way into the room, and I had an impromptu pic with him right there.

Since we are going the last weekend when Billy Dee Wms "Lando will be there my eldest DS who's willing to camp out says either we stay up all night or he won't get up at 3-4am.

What would be the best way to catch a bus to DHS late Fri?

On phone & can't edit

For Lando are we thinking middle of the night? I'm ok w/ a cab but don't want drag kids earlier than necessary. I think it will be just DS 16 & he's saying we'll just go at close.

When he came, I think it was 2010 , I got in line at 4:30am and got a standby ( not guaranteed) we got to meet him but just barely

How early will the Disney folks let you start lining up. Being local we can be their the night before but would that be allowed. What is the earliest anyone has lined up for a specific Actor or Actress.:confused3:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Do people really camp out overnight at the gate? DS said only way he'll do this is overnight.

Sorry it wouldn't let me edit my last post.

Ok not trying to do anything wrong but is it allowed to join someone in like? Like could I go by myself say at 4am and then my sister and DS6 come a bit later and join me at 5 or 6? Or is that really a no no...and I realize the later they would come the greater chance of them getting there after bands have been handed out...

Disney doesn't like when people camp all night but it's done every year, people take chairs and I've even seen small tents. As
to joining in later that's a concern depending the people's behind you. They start handing out the wristbands around 6:30 after they hand out the wristbands no one can join in and expect a wristband. They would have to go to the back of the line if they want a fast pass. Around7:15 they give the fp only to people with wristbands.

Me personally don't mind if little kids join their mom or dad later as long as its not a large group joining. I think if he's there around6:30 is fine, but that's me.
