If only! If I were a betting person, I'd say the odds are more in favor for carsland. But a SW Land would be great!!

In the next few years, UO will be spending 1.5 billion in expansion, so Disney needs to get a bunch of new things. Lasseter was mentioning Carsland and Lord of the Rings yesterday at Epcot, so we'll see...

Either or both sound great to me!! Let the expansion begin!!

The New Fantasyland is breathtaking!!! We got on a dress rehearsal of the mermaid attraction on Monday. Wow! Gaston's Tavern is very well done, but probably not enough seating indoor or outdoor. A LeFou's Brew...YUM!! They were filming at Maurice's cottage so we missed that.

I'm so impressed with AoA and the New Fantasyland. Both projects that are over the top and very well executed!!

I have a feeling Josh over at EasyWDW was joking with LOTR, but Carsland seems to be true at this point.

Whoohoo!! I am excited to say we have booked flights and are going to be there for what should be the 1st weekend!! Yay!:dance3::yay:

I just got some Disney seasonal passes, so now I'll be able to go the first 3 weekends!!! :cool1:

I'd just be happy with concrete dates for now!

Are you going to check out the Star Wars stuff at the Orlando Science center? I hope to do this over Thanksgiving week.

I might, but there's alot going on at theme parks. I was reading about it in The Orlando Sentinel the other week, and the writer doesn't know his SW movies :lmao:

Hi there,

We're the Hughes family from Brick NJ and we're thinking about attending our first Star Wars Weekend event in 2013. We've been to WDW 13 times in 12 years, but can you believe we've never attended SWW?

I see the dates everyone is talking about and know there is nothing announced yet by WDW. But I'm trying to pick my vacation weeks for work and need to have something on the calendar. We also usually fly Spirit out of Atlantic City NJ when we go.

Some questions. Should we be booking hotel or airlines or both at this point? It would be three of us including my wife and 11 year old son. We'd like to hit Harry Potter at Universal and a day at Legoland as well, so a car rental looks to be a must.

I'd appreciate any help you could give. Thanks, Kevin:wave2:

Book if you want, it's never to early to plan.

Just remember that the dates are never set in stone. They shifted them on us one year after we had our airfare. I think the last few years they've been pretty steady, though. I just booked airfare with Spirit for Memorial Day weekend for SWW - still pretty low and they had a $35OFF going. And yes, I'd say a rental car will make getting to USF and Legoland much easier- but rental discounts won't be out for a while yet for May. Have fun planning!!

Honestly, wait a month or two and there might be a discount. No guarantees.

Hi there,

We're the Bolton family from Ontario, Canada and we're thinking about attending our first Star Wars Weekend event in 2013. The kids (both 13) are so excited to go; we normally go for Halloween or Christmas.

Is there a weekend that is better than the others in terms of crowds? I know it will be busy all weekends but there is Memorial Day in there and I'm sure that is a super busy weekend.

Also, what Disney hotel would you suggest? Is it better to stay at one of the DHS area hotels so you can get there easier or does it matter? Are there historically any discounts offered for hotels? We are going in December so hoping to get a BB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nancy
