Wondering how Standby and Walk ups work???

If you have standby is it for all sessions or to you get a standby time?...

Thinking we might just check to see if anyone is taking walkups but we would have to check each session?...or would it be more likely for the person's last session?

Also I see the last show is at 6:30 (Obi One and beyond I think)...will that still be at 6:30 for weekend 4 or since there are no additional shows do you think that last show will be earlier...

Wow thats super early!! I'll try and get there around that time. Thanks for the info!:thumbsup2

If you think 4 am is early... People were camping out over night for Ray Park because he is only doing one session this year. In fact when we got there at 4 am on Saturday May 18th we were the very LAST tickets for guaranteed autographs and they aren't really letting him do stand bys while we were there because he's on such a tight schedule.

I believe this has bothered Ray too because if you look at some posts here on the boards you'll find Ray went out there at the butt crack of dawn and took photos with some people in line on weekend 2 because of so many people getting up so early and still not seeing him. :cheer2: RAY PARK IS AWESOME! :cheer2:

Guess it all depends how much moisture Hurricane Barbara wants to pump into the picture. It's rained a couple times today already. I can handle rain as long as it's not a total wash out and no lightning.

Thanks for trying. I appreciate you taking the time to post the times!

By any chance did you buy the Her Universe purple force shirt? I'm wondering how it runs? My Han Solo shirt shrank like crazy, the Darth Vader one washed the same amount and in the dryer the same shrank but not as much as the Han shirt.
I got the new Padme shirt and actually just took out out of the dryer and it shrank just a little.
yulilin3,

I saw your video of the "secret" parade location. Is it possible to view from Chewie's meet and greet or even Chip and Dale's? Which one would have more shade at that time?

I was thinking of getting in line, having a snack, and watch the 501st go by.

Sure would make the time go by faster.

Thanks!

You won't be able to see the 501st from Chewie's line because there's a lot of people standing watching the parade, you can see it in the video, the big group to the left.

This probably goes without saying but I would get there at least 20-30 minutes early for the Her Universe signing. She is so sweet and chatty, as you know, so the line moves pretty slow. She will only sign HU merchandise but it does not have to be purchased that day (we had a shirt from last year). Have fun!

Will she only sign her actual stuff?...Will she have the picture that they have for normal greet?

I plan on buying a shirt but dont really want the actual shirt signed was hoping for a picture...

I think the standbys are numbered. They sit on the ledge across from the M&G tent. Walk ups are taken after standby. My husband did walk up for Nikka Futterman last year and after 2 hours of waiting on the ledge, he was one of the last people for autographs that day.

She will sign the hang tag too, or boxes from the jewelry, or the satchel/pouch from the jewelry. As long as it's something from a Her Universe product. She will not sign any pictures, but will pose for a picture.

Not sure about Obi Wan and Beyond for weekend 4.
Standby's are numbered so if you get a low number, like 1 thru 10 you can wait at the end of the first session if the celeb has time they'll start calling standby numbers, 1,2, and so on, they cross off what number standby actually gets to meet the celeb. Then during the next session they'll do it again, lets say that at first session they got 1, 5 and 6 in then at the end of the second session they'll start 2,3,4 and so on.

Ok good to know...thanks

1.- If you want to be sure to get him try and be there around 6:45am, just to be sure.

2.- Don't worry about the time, the Guest Relation Handler will let you know if you're taking too long (And he won't be rude about it, I've seen this happen) like, "Ok, next family"...things like that. I think people usually take like a minute or 2 with him.

3.- They have been roping off the last 4 turnstiles so that when you get your wristband/fp you go to the turnstiles furthes to the right. You won't get lost. If you have the old paper tickets then you would need to go to your left. Here's the video so you can see how it works:
the first 3 minutes shows you how the line is setup and at 2:23 how you go line up at the turnstile

Thank you for the info, yulilin. I can't access youtube from work, so I will check it out when I get home. Right now we have paper tickets from UT, but when we get there next Thursday evening, I plan on walking to the international gateway to exchange them for RFID (I can do that there, right?).

I was planning on asking the same thing! I guess we'll find out on Tuesday or Wednesday what the schedule is, but I've also wondered since there won't be other shows, if that will get moved up earlier. To be honest, I hope it doesn't because the current time works perfectly for us right now (we're taking a mid-day break), but I have a feeling it will be moved up.

We traded in our non RFID tickets at Guest Relations at EPCOT too... not sure if DHS Guest Relations is doing that yet but you never know.

Thanks, good to know. We'll be walking over to the boardwalk anyway (staying at Swan), so might as well just walk a little farther and get that taken care of that evening before the big day!

We are home and unpacked! Whewwww - what a whirlwind trip that was!:faint:
It was so great to meet DisneyBoyz in line:wave2: - what a great family! and my DGrD9 LOVED talking to 'cool' GeekyGirl:wave2: and her Chewy backpack - which she kept spotting through the day and would have stalked her forever if I'd let her!;) LOL
Always so nice to share the lines with DISers.

It was wonderful meeting you guys! It truly was fantastic to meet so many Disers on Friday! I hope to run in to more of you on week 4.

Hi Folks,

My boyfriend snapped a few picks of me and GeekyGirl while we were waiting in line for Warick Davis Autograph FP! :goodvibes

Great pictures! I must say though, I'm absolutely in love with your dress XD

Totally spur of the moment, I just booked a room for Saturday night so I can go to SWW Saturday and Sunday!! Now off to create my Master Plan of Attack to meet characters... thank goodness KtP has done most of the heavy lifting already ;)

Hi everyone! Longtime reader and first time poster. Just want to thank all of you for sharing your insight and experiences so far! Although I do have a few questions about celebrity autographs for Weekend 4 that I'm hoping someone can help me with.

1. When camping out for autographs, are you allowed to bring a foldable chair to sit in? I would assume you are but are you then allowed to bring it in the park afterwards? (one of those chairs you fold into a thin bag and can carry on your shoulder) Do you recommend bringing anything else to camp out with?

2. Is there a bathroom nearby that you can use in the middle of the night?

3. My biggest concern: my plan is to get four autographs on Weekend 4 (Billy Dee, JAT, Ashley, and Tom Kane). However, since you can only get one per day I will only be able to get three. My dad can come with me on Friday if necessary to get a fast pass, but will he have to be the one to get the autograph then? Because I would like to be the one to get it, are the wristbands able to be removed and given to another person? I would also be fine with getting fast passes for three of the celebs and then doing a walk-up for the 4th person, but I'm wondering how likely that would be and which person/timeslot would be the best to aim for a walk up?

Thank you so much fellow Star Wars/Disney fans! :)

We have seen chairs and tents. Not in the park too hot to carry

Yes there is a bathroom

1, yes you can bring whatever youd like pretty much some people had cots and those kind of things

2, yes there is by the no bag area on the sidewalk

3, the person with the wrist band has to be the one to get the autograph so that would be the hardest i would say you should try and catch ashley when shes signing for people who buy stuff from her clothing line.
