The word ALWAYS should never be used when it comes to characters. I've seen Minnie Leia meet by herself and also have seen Jedi Mickey with R2MK (got their picture on Friday for their last set at 7pm) you might be lucky and get them in pairs but you shouldn't count on it. Your plan seems very flexible so I'm sure you'll be fine. I would switch and meet Vader first and then Maul.
Also if you're not watching the parade you could try and get Vader while the parade is going on (at 11am) the line might be shorter then.
You're approaching this with the right attitude,
*using my Jedi Mind Tricks and waving my hand* YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST ::yes::

Thanks! Last year they were pretty much only out by themselves so I spent most of the day in that line. I wouldn't bother with them this year, but my friend has never been before and they are the ones she really wants to see -- hoping for pixie dust this year:wizard: Definitely hoping to hit Vader during the motorcade -- will switch around depending on timing.

they do not always come out in pairs late saturday afternoon they were switching every 20 minutes and it was minnie alone, darth goofy alone and then R2-Mk with Mickey.

Thanks! That's what I figured, so will hope for pixie dust:goodvibes

I'm wondering.... How are the line rides during Star Wars weekends? Does Star Tours have an extra long wait because of Star Wars Weekend or do Toy Story Mania, Rockin Roller Coaster, and Tower of Terror still have the longest waits?

The line for ST is a bit longer, consistently around 30 minutes thru the day, unless it's early in the morning...the rest of the park stays busy as well, this first weekend TSMM had a 2 hour wait at some point.

Planning our itinerary for next weekend. Our 1st SWW. Was planning on getting kids signed up for JTA first. While in line was wondering if I should send DH to get fastpasses for star Tours? Or toy story mania? Unsure how long we will be in line or what standby line will be for tours when we get done. Any recommendations? Thanks!

TSMM first, Star Tours wasn't a problem for us on the first day. Park opened around 7:45, DH and DS5 went to sign up for JTA, waited 20 minutes or so, got a 12:30 time and got right on Star Tours. Meanwhile, DS2 and I grabbed fast passes for TSM for all of us and went ahead and rode since it was 10 minute wait. It was just before 8 and fast pass return was 9:05-10:05. We all met back up and DS5 wanted to ride Star Tours again so I went with him and once again got right on. DS2 was getting a bit cranky so he didn't ride TSM when we had fp for so DS5 and DH did, the fast pass line must have been short cause they got out pretty quick. By 10:00 am the fp return was somewhere around 7pm I think. Good luck!!!

Were people having success with waving people in front of them to get the set they wanted? Or is that a huge no no this year?

yes actually it was late in the afternoon and the line was kinda short when we were in it so we were able to get minnie then get back in line and get goofy and by the time we got back to the front of the line goofy was still there and they let us just wait for mickey/r2mk and let people pass.

We really wanted to get a picture of our 5 year old dressed as Han Solo with Leia and were getting close to the front when she was about to swap out. The people in front of us wanted to see Luke and R2D2 anyway so they let us go ahead. We actually managed to get pictures with Leia and then with Luke, Leia and R2D2 (who danced with our son, so cute!) and everyone was happy.

Great thank you! :goodvibes I really just want Mickey & R2MK - I'd take the others in addition, but those are the two I really want, so I'd rather wait for them!

What a sweet little Han Solo. Glad it worked out for you and them.

We met a woman on Sunday who had attempted 3 different times to see the droids. I promised her that if he droids were still out she was more than welcome to skip in front of us. The rancor was our top priority. Unfortunately the odds were not in her favor and it was Leia by herself.

Quick note: I did the camp out thing for merch on day 1 and included the Thermal Detonator in my purchases. I was only able to open it last night and was disappointed to see that it didn't work. No lights, no sound, nothing. I'm going to try to return it this coming weekend, but wanted to give a heads up that if you aren't local, you may want to check it before you leave the park for the day. :)

OK, let me see if I understand this......if I want a FP for a Warwick Davis autograph, I should be at the park at like 5 in the morning? We are going on Saturday, June 1st, and this is our 2nd time to SWW. We are fans, but I don't know if we are willing to get there THAT early for a 10 second encounter! How early has everyone been getting there, about how many FPs are distributed and should I just show up at rope drop and give up dreams of an autograph?? I apologize if this info has already been stated in this thread, but I haven't had time to read the whole thing! Thanks!

Warwick was not there last weekend - this is his first session. I would say watch for when it runs out on Friday based on reports here and then decide if it is worth it to you to get there when they suggest or a little earlier. :thumbsup2

For an autograph people do camp out thru the night, but the main bulk of people get there around 4am. For Warwick Davis I think if you get there around 4am you should be able to get a fp. The number of fp per sessions depends on how fast and talkative the celebrity is. For example, Ray Park session had around 50 fp... it could be anywhere from 50 to 75 per session

I'm thinking if you get there at the regular park opening time you have little to no chance of getting a FP for Warwick. You'll need to get there before opening - the question will be how much before opening. If you're going Saturday maybe check here and see if there are reports about the lines from Friday.

For those that were there on Saturday and Sunday - how was the line inside the tent for Luke/Leia/Droids and Rancor? How long did it take? And was it only Friday where it was outside?

Thanks!

Once Friday it was outside. I believe the Luke/Leia line was about 35 mins most of the day. Sometimes less and sometimes more from what I've heard.

Did anyone do the carbon-freeze-me this past weekend? We are going on week 4 and just wondered how it went!

Yeah, I'd say it was around 30-40 mins. Not too bad and air conditioned.

i did the storm trooper it was pretty fun, pretty much you go into the mall area and go to a desk tell them what time your appointment is for and then get in line. you sit down take a few pictures, they tell you the faces to make. then you select the one you want to use followed by hair color ect. then go pay.

Agree... and the HUGE difference between waiting 30-40 minutes in an A/C tent.... and waiting in the blazing sun...
