***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

the way I see it is that most on site guests will take advantage of these EEMH, most won't be able to handle being in the parks all day, or they might be tired by early evening, leaving off site guests with a better chance to get into the land and enjoy it later in the day.
This is my hope, as a local and anti-early morning person. That said...

I'm torn. I can get a cheap offsite room for Aug. 29 and am toying with driving over to WDW (I'm about 2 hours away) the afternoon of Aug. 28, having dinner at DHS, closing it down, and hanging out in my car in the parking lot until the queue starts forming for opening day. Brave the craziness and bask in the glory of being there opening day, then head to my cheap hotel to crash later that day. OR, book a room onsite a few weeks later and use the EEMH on a lower crowd day. I'd love to do both, but budget says no.

There's no feeling like being at an opening of something at Disney, let alone the feeling of being there for this. If you can swing it you should do it, we can be walking zombies together :)

I'm about 90% sold, but need to see if I can swing the time off from work!

The title of this thread is literally Official Star Wars Galaxy Edge Information thread. If you don’t care about Star Wars at Disney, why are you reading it?
I don't know, I guess if you wanted to reach the people that are talking about Star Wars this is a better place to post than say the "I love credit cards" thread.

His original post that started all this was a complaint about being sick of hearing about SW. If I don’t care about credit card rewards programs, I’m not going to post in that thread that I don’t care.

Circling back to EEMHs... just how early do we think one would need to be at the DHS gates to get into SWGE using EEMH - say in late Sept/early Oct? I have no burning need to be first, just want to get in without an 8-hour wait, lol!

I would say you'll want to be there at 5AM at the latest with a 6AM opening.

THAT I can manage! Even 4am would be ok. Just like a rD race, right?! It's the camping out the night before thing that I'm really not wanting to do. ;)
Earlier obviously the better. The later you arrive the longer the lines. Also sort of like a runDisney race ;)

just remember it's common practice for Disney to say "opening at 9am" and then they open earlier. It's still done today for Pandora and TSLand, so when they say 6am I am expecting it'll be before for a while.

When you went for SWW was it an organized line that formed outside the gates the hours before or just a mass of people that all eventually tried to get in at once? Was the order you arrived in generally the order you got in?

I don’t want to show up hours before only to have everyone arriving later push though the sides.

I guess we won’t know until it happens but I was just wondering what your past experience was.
