This is my hope, as a local and anti-early morning person. That said...the way I see it is that most on site guests will take advantage of these EEMH, most won't be able to handle being in the parks all day, or they might be tired by early evening, leaving off site guests with a better chance to get into the land and enjoy it later in the day.
I'm torn. I can get a cheap offsite room for Aug. 29 and am toying with driving over to WDW (I'm about 2 hours away) the afternoon of Aug. 28, having dinner at DHS, closing it down, and hanging out in my car in the parking lot until the queue starts forming for opening day. Brave the craziness and bask in the glory of being there opening day, then head to my cheap hotel to crash later that day. OR, book a room onsite a few weeks later and use the EEMH on a lower crowd day. I'd love to do both, but budget says no.
