*Official September 2011 Thread!* Who's joining me?!

thanks for the reminder to order the new disney vacation planning dvd! just did it! cannot wait for sept 26 - oct 6th 2011 and my trip to wdw! staying at all star music as of right now but im hoping to upgrade to POFQ ... love that place!

I am trying to figure out my dining a little early. My group will be big sis and bil, and my hubby, me, and our ds. He will be 18 months old and I want to do a character breakfast. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? DH and I did Crystal Palace when we went a few years ago and enjoyed it. TIA!

We just added a day at the begining of our trip yesterday so now we will be at the Beach Club September 25-Oct 2 !!!

I will join in 9/24 to 10/2 POFQ!!

When we went to book it was a little more than I expected for the moderate so we are sticking with POP!

Our last trip DD was 15 months old. She had no clue who any of the characters were, but she loved Crystal Palace! She also liked Chef Mickey's! =)

She didn't really care for the "face" characters since they just looked like regular people to her I guess! :rotfl:

We are going back to Disney from Sept 24th till October 2nd. My daughter was only 16 months old when we went last time. She will be 6 when we go this year and her brother will be going for the first time ever, he will turn 4 in October. Can't wait to go back. :yay:

We will be staying at Port Orleans - Riverside

Our last trip we went in Sept/Oct 2006 and stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort

Chef Mickey's is a great place to eat and Donalds breakfast at Tuskers house at AK.

I'll be there at SOG from 9/4-9/10

Im rethinking about my dates and wonder if I should move it back by a week So we can do the MNSSHP!!!!

I'm still trying to figure out my park days and how to work my meals into those days so we're not jumping around everywhere (eventhough we have parkhoppers).

We're going back!!!:cheer2: DH is going book it tomorrow for mid Sept. I'm so excited!:banana: Now I have to figure out ADRs. :yay:[/SIZE]

OMG!! I am sooooo confused! How do you figure out what parks to do what day and how the heck do you parkhop??

Well you pay for Park Hopper tickets.. which is a little more, but sometimes worth it! I like to have them for the ease of going where I want to when I want to, and with Park Hoppers you can go to all 4 parks if you were so inclined in one day! I like starting out at HS and ending at Epcot. I also think AK is not a full day park so I like being able to park hop to get to another park! You just pay for Park Hopper option whichever way you want to get tickets!

I also paid for touringplans.com.. they give you info on past attendence and forecasted for your dates so you have an idea where to go to avoid the big crowds in any given day!

Good luck!

We'll be there too:banana: So excited about the Free Dining can't wait to do ADR's:cloud9: Any idea when the Sept 2011 parks calendar come out?:confused3

I am trying to work out my ADR schedule for now I am going by last years TA Calendar then when this years Sept park hours come out I will just have to make minor adjustments. Link to TA Calendar below.

http://www.disneytravelagents.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_Sept.pdf

Disney tends to run certain events on the same park days year after year, ex: Fantasmic on Sun and Thurs, same with Party nights at MK, etc etc so you can get a good idea of just what this coming years park hours and events might be by reviewing last years calendar.

I also buy Touring Plans and he already has the crowd calendar for September 2011 but expect it to change as we get closer to September.

Another good site is easywdw.com and it is free, you can see last years calendar there and his predictions for last year plus it has tons of other usefull information on the site

I too think buying park hoppers is well worth the added cost, I to do AK only half day, and I like the freedom to go to say MK in the morning , go back to my resort for a mid-day break and then go to a different park in the evening for dinner. It comes in handy to if you get to a park and it just happens to be too crowded for some reason you and pick up and head over to someplace else.
