I have been reading the park closures due to maximum capacity and all I can say is I love hurricanes, hot weather and love bugs. Let's here it for September!
Well, when I was young I used to get all excited when we had the hurricane forecasts and everybody was all scared

like with a ghost story or rollercoaster ride... you know it was a cool tension in the air, because none ever hit us, or came close....Fast forward 20 yrs.... When hurricane Katrina hit my husband's hometown of New Orleans, my in-laws really only escaped all of that horror because they were in Houston for my daughter's 6th B-Day party! Her party was on the Sunday before it hit on Monday! Took us weeks to locate his family who lived in Waveland, MS, thru New Orleans, LA. LOST a LOT of Family Friendswho did not evacuate because hotel were not accepting pets!!! Cell phones did not work, we had no idea where to find them, except surfing the net for them....SCARY...
Now every hurricane season, they are with us for weeks fleeing... this past Sept. we were supposed to be @ WDW when IKE started bearing down on the Houston area, we cancelled our trip and rode out the storm @ my house... a tree hit the roof and window that I was sitting in front of, 8 hrs before the storm hit! We went 15 days without electricity, and had an extra 7 people living with us, they lost their homes when IKE hit Galveston, yes they evacuated to our home three days BEFORE the storm, and we were supposed to be safe where we live...we lost a lot of homes to trees in our community, but lost no lives, THank God. We also
evacuated for Rita because we lived farther south than we do now. MY family lost their houses and are still fighting insurance to get money to re-build. We literally could not find gasoline, were close to running out in the traffic jams, then when we got home, there was no bread, meat, eggs, milk in the stores... Imagine going to EVERY STORE to see "Closed" signs, and every gas pump says "OUT OF GAS" crazy!!!
I know that this hurricane comment was not meant to hurt anyone's feelings, but please remember that people DO DIE in them... and people on HERE are sensitive to such non-chalant attitudes when it comes to such natural DISASTERS, just like an earthquake joke is not really funny at all, Look what just happened in ITALY. GOD BLESS anyone going thru these tragedies, we have been Blessed and I appreciate those who are empathetic to others regarding such things.
Just a little vent/rant...
