Have any of you made specific room requests? I haven't because I heard there's really no bad location at FQ. We did book a king room (so hoping we actually get it because I know there aren't many), but didn't bother requesting anything else.

We haven't made any requests. I'll be happy wherever they put us and I don't think that there could be a bad location. Although,a corner room would be nice

Funny, because we are also hoping for a corner room I'm really considering doing the on-line check-in, but I'm worried that sure as I do, I'll not get the king room we booked and then we'll tie up the line trying to figure something else out, etc. I don't want to inconvenience others, ya know?

Brand new here! We will be at POFQ from 9/1 - 9/8 with Free Dining! My oldest will be turning 11 on 9/6 so we are going to be celebrating her b-day there! We are not telling our kids until the night before! How is one supposed to keep such a secret for so long?

As far as the secret keeping - I'm so bad about that I could never keep it a secret for that long! I couldn't even keep the ADR @ Biergarten a secret from DH (the only place he requested - was going to tell him I couldn't get it, but I just couldn't take a chance of him being disappointed).

I also love the corner rooms at POFQ. We've been in a few different buildings at the resort, but never found a bad location!

Well,I hope you get a good room. I always wonder if I should make room requests or not. We've always gotten rooms that I've been happy with. The only time I made a request was last month at the beach club. I requested a full balcony and I know they don't have them in many of the rooms but on our trip to AKL we had a balcony with a pool view and we all loved it. When we got to the room it did'nt have the full balcony,no big deal,I know they can't grant all requests but I called the front desk and kindly asked if they had another room for us with the balcony,and they did So,i guess if you are not happy with your room it never hurts to ask if they have something else that meets your requests.

While a corner room would be nice , not had one before , we're quite easy osey about where we end up in this resort.

Do have my LGMH ready to stick in the window , not sure if i'm brave enough to wear one round but i hope to . My brothers think i'm a little nuts wanting to stop and chat to a stranger if i see a green Mickey on their person but i'll give it a whirl....at least once.

This is off topic but I am doing the happy dance today
I just booked a very last minute weekend trip for next weekend 4/20-4/22 at CSR. I'm excited and had to tell people who won't think I'm crazy for going to Disney again. I would have liked to stay at POFQ but they had AP discounts for CSR and CBR and they didn't have anything discounted at the values other than family suites. I told DH that we need to get some use out of these season passes and surprisingly he went for it! Have a great weekend everyone.

I finished my kids' autograph book from our 2009 trip. My original plan was just to add to it for this trip, but the album is full so I will need to start a new one for this trip! The kids were really excited and like flipping through it.

I didn't realize it but it has made a great tool for showing my DS6(who has mild autism) pictures of the characters, with him in a few of the shots, and we talked about who each one was...

In other news, I won an iPad this past weekend! It was a complete fluke, I won it in a raffle!

Oh and going to make a big payment on our trip on Friday!!!

I know! I wasn't even thinking of that benefit when I started it...now I am even more excited to make this year's book, plus i want to make an Epcot and AK passport, and maybe a trip journal for each of them...

Sounds like you will be keeping busy in the upcoming months before this trip, huh?

We paid off our trip a couple of weeks ago in cash. Felt so good! Now I just gotta go about saving for *next year's* trip so we can do the same. We have our spending money saved for this year, our mousekeeping envelopes made, KTTK tour is almost paid for (used Disney Visa for that).

How's the weight loss coming? I'm at a standstill ... still.
