Official Photographers on Main Street

I know that DLRP doesn't have photopass but are there still official photographers about to take your photo?

There are official photographers at the meet n greet stations around the park and studios, who take your photo with the princesses/characters, then give you number tickets so you can buy the photos if you like them.

I love the official photos ... even though we always take some with our own camera and the photographer will take some with your own camera I always over indulge on buying them and always make the mistake of not waiting til later on in the day to buy all the photo's together to take advantage of the discount ?!!!

Unfortunately there aren't any wandering Main Street a huge oversight IMO as who doesn't want their piccy taken with the Castle in the background?

You can have your photo taken in the photo shop and also at the one in the Studios and they can superimpose it on various backgrounds but otherwise the official photographers are just at the character meet n greets.

Can you imagine the problems of having a professional photographer take your photo with the castle in the background? Each photo would take 1 hour plus while they wait for all the people walking down main street to be in the perfect position

They do this at WDW wqithout any problems. The people in the background just add to the character. There are about 6 in a line all the way up main street with the castle getting closer and closer. We've had some lovely pictures done on there. Perhaps with DLRP getting busier and adding more attractions it may be something they look into - fingers crossed.

This is what I keep hoping. I did ask them about it on my first trip but they said there wasn't the demand .......

Yes, you can have the year and the character's siggy added. Not sure what they are doing for this year (2008) as I see the photos I bought in October last year say 15th Celebrations rather than 2007.
