I found this email waiting for me this evening, I wonder how many other DLP fans have received it too?


Hello to all,

I'm writing today for a special request, as we need your help!

We just finalized an online survey dedicated to Disneyland Paris fans. It's the first time that such a survey is done, as we aim to gain better knowledge of the fans, to know who they are, what they want, how we are doing with them. As many of you have noticed, for a few months we have worked to communicate more closely with you, through social networks, with some insider information and meetings with spokespersons, and special events (well, mostly in french, but we really hope we can change that in the future).

This survey is the latest step in that relationship. That's why it's very important that fans answer it. It is anonymous, but the results will help us to define priorities and take notice for future actions targeted to the largest number of DLP fans.

We want to touch the fans where they really are, and that is mostly of your websites. As we plan to also communicate on it on our official platforms, your help will remain critical so every "potential" fan, who wants to engage more with us and give his opinion, knows how to do it.

Dates: link will be active from 24th november to 12th december .

Confidentiality: no identity will be required, but we'll allow people to let their email in for future surveys if they want to

The survey if for people over 16 years old only.
Communication: please note that communication is possible starting 24th november , 5pm (european time). The idea is not necessarily to be the first, but to make the information visible until the very end, so the largest number of fans can participate. You can use any way you want to promote this.

I saw the link and completed the survey....then I read the post with the dates the link will be up from:rolleyes1

It accepted all my answers and thanked me for completing it so the link does definately work!!

Maybe I should take a leaf out my own book when I tell the kids to read the question before you answer:blush:

Please be aware that as the email says nobody was supposed to distribute until 5pm (4pm GMT) tomorrow. As such Disneyland Paris have said no surveys filled in before then will count. So please until tomorrow afternoon or your time will be wasted.
 
The title has been updated to reflect that this goes live on the 24th.

Some interesting questions but also some holes in the choices that are provided.

Hi everyone!

DLP has posted a link to an online customer survey via their Twitter feed and I thought some of you might be interested in filling it in. :surfweb:

It is about what you expect from the park, as a fan, how often you visit etc. and also covers a lot about DLP's social networking channels and the external messageboards you visit etc.

I mentioned that I thought unscheduled ride closures should be announced via Twitter/Facebook to help (in a small way :laughing:) avoid the disappointment when you arrive expecting something to be running and it's not...mentioning no names...ahem...Casey Jnr...Le Pays des Contes de Fee...:rolleyes1. Maybe also restaurant openings/closures? I always get confused with Walt's :confused:

I also mentioned that via the external DLP messageboards you can spot a lot of patterns of issues that could be improved upon if DLP took a leaf out of some other big companies' books and used their social networks to have more of a dialogue with their visitors/fans - e.g. Smoking, state of the loos, scrums at character meet and greets with no CM intervention. From some of the posts I've read I think it would be a good thing for DLP to show that they value customer opinions and take this feedback on board. :confused3

Really interesting. I hope the fact that I said I was dissatisfied with their official social network channels, but that I visit message boards very regularly, makes them realize the opportunities they are missing.
 
Ooops, I just filled it in and then saw on your message that it doesn't go live until 5pm so I'd better fill it in again tonight.

What I did find funny is that they asked how many souvenirs I had and when I entered 100 it told me that my number was too big and that I had to change it!! They obviously don't know just how much stuff us fans collect!!

Also when they asked which websites I used there were loads in the list I hadn't even heard of so I wrote them all down and will now have to check them all out.

Let's hope they take on some of our suggestions!!

Between this and Kizzabel's post about being stopped in the park and asked to do a survey maybe they are finally listening to the fans
 
I think it's ok to fill it out early as DLP themselves posted about it earlier today. Looks like so many people jumped the gun that they had no choice but to make it live early.

The website list was indeed very interesting and I too hadn't heard or all of them. I know that dedicatedtodlp.com though ;)

I found the website list very interesting too - I hadn't heard of half of them but it was nice to recognise Kristof's, Jonathan's, Steve and Joseph's, Maxime's, and Alain's - and of course I ticked that I enjoyed reading them all. :goodvibes
 
Completed.

Flagged up diappoinment with increasingly generic merchandise and shop content, and the fact that after 20 trips you never get a sense that they're really valuing/acknowedging your ongoing commitment.

Sadly, when one of the kids started to complete one, this message came up straight away after they entered their age:

"Thank you for participating in our survey today. Unfortunately, your profile does not correspond to the one we were looking for in this study.
Thanks again!"

Completed mine and metioned that I would like to see a reward system for buying merchandise from Disney Stores, Disney eateries and staying at Disney hotels so that points could be collected to spend on future hotel bookings, etc. To make things cheaper for those that put lots of money in the Disney pot on a regular basis.

Just completed the survey - I know it's translated from French but not the best constructed survey I've ever seen! Not sure how much they will really get from this as questions were quite general. Would have been good to ask about things like attractions, shows, customer service, facilities etc.
 
Just completed it - its encouraging that they are treating "fans" differently and seem to be considering ways to engage with us better or even reward us. I too suggested a loyalty scheme....because they said "precisely" I did give precise examples e.g. for every 10 nights spent in a Disney hotel you get a free upgrade on your next stay or a meal voucher etc. I also said that I would be willing to pay a small annual fee for membership of some sort of Disneyland Paris fan club IF it were to offer an attractive loyalty scheme, exclusive offers and invitations, and provide more news and info than is available to standard visitors.
I was full of suggestions for better social media use too....they'll probably get more suggestions and content than they bargained for asking us lot for our opinions, I pity the wee person having to sort through all those long-form responses.

I really noticed the difference in translation as I filled it in in both languages :sad2:
