ROFR Thread July to Sept 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

I suspect they don't sell much BLT because the cost direct is so high. GFV is cheaper.
I think if more contracts were put up for sale, they’d consider it. The high direct price almost argues in favor of grabbing points when they can. I just don’t think there’s enough volume for them to grab enough to make it worthwhile.

This is a great point. There's always something on the market for BLT, but maybe because it's so large they have a tough time piecing enough points together from the same locations to sell as one unit.

Or maybe they just already have some units in inventory available for sale. So for example, it looks like they went on quite the run with ROFR at BLT in 2022 and 2023. So if they accumulated enough points, they might still have some of those. Or if they purchase that one last contract that unlocks a full unit for them, it might take a long time to sell the whole thing direct at $275.

TheThousandthSoul---$128-$13467-100-BLT-Aug-0/24, 21/25, 100/26, 100/27- seller pays MF 25- sent 9/4

Not the exceptional deal I wanted, but a good deal. Wife got bad news with her health... The emotiveness kicked in... so I pulled the trigger for an additional 100 pts at BLT. yolo.

That's actually a good price for 100 BLT points.
I'm looking for one with June Use year.................
Good Luck with ROFR

I agree that it is a good price for the size of the contract.
Thank you!
I am not worried with ROFR, but you never know!

August ROFR Report is in — and Disney isn’t slowing down!

DVC bought back 22 contracts across 9 resorts, including the first-ever Riviera buyback at just $89/pt. 👀

We're seeing a clear trend: if a contract is priced way below market, Disney’s likely to scoop it up.

More key takeaways:
📌 Boulder Ridge buyback at $75/pt
📌 Grand Californian remains ROFR-heavy (33% YTD)
📌 Less than 4% of contracts taken YTD—still rare, but watch those “too good to be true” deals

Thanks for the report. Wow, VGC taken at $237/pt. Mine passed at $241/pt, but I didn't realize I was that close. Other than OKW, I'm surprised that ROFR is taking some of the 2042 resorts.

When someone sells their 2042 OKW do they also get sent the quit claim to sign or is it done through the broker or some other way? And is it possible to see a copy of it? This is all just curiosity.

When I first joined DVC in 2023 I was looking at OKW and the broker told me that the quit claim would be included with my documents at the closing and it was not negotiable. Signing it was a condition of the sale per Disney. I ended up buying poly, so I never saw the document.
