Official October Code Watch

I want to say it was for 77 or 79 preffered room.

If a AP comes out can I get it if indeed I had a pin code attatched to my name that was good for the first night?

I was actually hoping for even more discount than what I got but Ill take anything!!!!!!

The code should have been good for both nights since your stay began on 10/3. Discounts run from check-in throughout your stay. Call back, could have been that the 2nd night was unavailable for discount and that could open up at any time. I would call back and ask. Let us know !! I think that pins and e-mails are just a sign that things are coming.

Thanks for the tip wdwmaw.:thumbsup2

I will try calling every couple of days and seeing whats up.

I love your picture in your signature.

I just put my family pic in the frame at work and behind last years photo was all the other years we have gone. Kinda cool to see how the kids have grown.

Would it say anywhere on my email if it was a "pin" code, and why when I asked if it was an AP rate she said she couldnt tell?

Do you think I should call everyday? or just wait for an AP rate?

I would call everyday. I have allways been under the impression to call at 7 am or about 9:45 pm thats when cancelled would show up. I also think sometimes they can't tell what the pin or code is, it is a pop up type thing for some people and then others have to ask for them to be found.

I will try and call everyday around 845pm (central time) and see if I can save even more.

Ill let you know if Im successful for the last four nights of our stay.

Thanks agian for your help!!!!:goodvibes

btw, what time of the day are the codes normally released ? I was just wondering because I am living in Finland and we are in the different time zone and I want to call right away when the codes are released.

and another question... I tried to find the operating hours of Disney call center from WDW official site, but couldn't. Are they open 24/7? :confused3

I really appreciate if somebody could help.

we are going the the shore fin Aug. I am nervous that will be the week the codes come out. Do I need them, or can I call daily and ask if there is any visa or AP rates?

Thanks

The codes are normally out at open of business @ 7 am eastern time zone. The call center hours are 7am-10pm. I hope this helps. You could call every morning and ask if they have been released, or you could just check here, I also check here every night before I go to bed.The pattern last year was Visa on Mon., AP/Fla. on Wed. and general public on Thurs. That said Disney is very unpredictable! Sometimes TA on here will get an advance notice and that what people mean when they say the "rumors" start. Hope this helps and cross your fingers.

You could call daily to see if they are out (ask specifically for Visa/Ap/general). Alot of CM's will know what you are talking about and will aply the code and then some want you to give them the 3 letters. If you get one that knows there is a code out and wants you to give them the letters then call back till you get one that will apply without you saying the letters. I start back to school on 8/10 and this is about to kill me wanting them to come out before that day. I have about 5 seperate vacations that I am helping with so I really need to be home that morning. Hope this helps !!

I found this over on the Resorts board:

I currently have a room only ressie for DH and I at the GF. Packages are supposed to come out Aug 5 (so I hear, keeping my fingers crossed )
This is a belated Honeymoon for us, and the CM that booked the room only said that she had noted it in the ressie.

My question is this...in your experience, are you better off booking through WDW Travel Co. or is it better to go to an "off site" place such as Dreams Unlimited, etc.?

I have to pay the room only deposit before we leave for vacation with DHs family this week and I was hoping to have a little more insight before we leave on Friday night

Thanks in advance!

So here's our new "rumor" folks. I wonder if there's any truth to it! Just thought I'd pass it along.

Another post mentions that the 2008 packages will be released on Aug 5th. Hopefully the October codes will be released then, too, but we shall just have to wait and see.

God I hope a FL Rate Room Discount becomes available for Deluxe. Does anyone know if Club Level discounted rates are included or are they excluded from discounts that have come out previously?

thanks! this helps a lot. Finland is 7 hours ahead of eastern timezone, so I just need to remember to check this site (and wdwinfo as well) every day at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.:goodvibes

It seemed that Disney was releasing codes a little earlier this year than previous years. I was hoping that a code for Oct. would come this week :confused3 oh well. Maybe in the next week or two. I just hope that we're not left behind.

They are going to be nuts that time period on the phones if Aug 5 (or Monday the 6th) is correct for the next codes. That is when they start the ADR for Food and Wine festival as well. Ughh, I would have to do the 2 phone thing again then.

Just an update. I called Disney today and asked if there were any discounts for nights 2 thru 5 (two days ago they gave me a new price for night one of our stay) and they put me on hold for at least 5 minutes before returning to let me know they did not see why I had received a lesser rate for night one. (which is Oct3). Then they came back on and said it was because the "new" rates were out and my first night is in a cheaper season.

She said there are no guarentees for AP discounts, but that they could come out anywhere from two months to two weeks from when the current discount ends. She said they had not been told of anything YET. So she said just keep checking back. The current promo is not up until the end of Sept, so I wouldnt give up hope yet.

So it looks like I did not have anykind of a pin code attatched to my name after all.

But you might want to give a call if you are close to the different seasons and see if anything had changed in your favor.

I've been checking this thread daily to see if we could save a little money on our upcoming trip in the middle of October. I hope we all hear some good news soon! :cool1:

Hey everyone, I was just on one of my other favorite sites for disney info and it looks like in 06 Oct AP rates did not come out until Aug 16, the 14th for visa packages.

In 05 looked to be kinda messed up due to that "best rate" program they tried to start, but that was still mid August.

In 04 it ws Aug 25 before Ap rates for Oct were available.

Im feeling better about just being patient.
