In other news, the corset piece of my costume came today. Turns out, I have no idea how to wear a corset. I tried it on, but I need someone to err...lace me up tighter. Not sure if this is gonna work for the party, but it sure is pretty!

I can't wait to get the rest!

I am so excited - yet scared. I am heading out to the UPS store to try to make our shirts again - The owner said they have made transfers before and it worked great. Here is to hoping that the paper doesn't melt AGAIN!!!

I guess if they don't get done this time - we won't have then, cause I will give up.

No mickey mail yet, but it has to go to my TA first, who is out of the state this week, after finding out her mother has cancer

Good Friday morning to everyone! Fridays always make everything so much better, don't they? It's sunny here today in Southeastern PA and the weather is cool. It was downright cold last night! But I love it because it means Fall is right around the corner, and Fall is my favorite season. And this year it means Disney is right around the corner! 37 days!!

Well, I have a ton of work to do that I don't feel like doing. We'll see if I get any motivation.

And while I was born in 1970, yes, there were quite a few Lisa's in my time growing up too.

Well, Venus is the name of the Roman version of Aphrodite so you are okay! Silly Romans stole the Greek's deities and renamed them!

As someone who actually lectures on the Greco-Roman pantehon, I will allow the cross-use of the names! Seriously, though.....the Roman and Greek gods and goddesses are [mostly] interchangeable. And the names Venus/Aphrodite are both used in our house. I think you will look soooo pretty. I think they might have flat strappy sandals. I'm jealous, though....I do not have the body to pull that off. Although, I am doing pretty good.....I've been drinking less soda each day so I can hopefully loose a little weight before we go. That's a big deal for me......I'm never seen without a Dr. Pepper in hand.

And I got Mickey Mail, too, yesterday!!!! Not exactly what I was expecting....I got the Magical Express stuff. And, to be honest, I wasn't expecting anything at all....I thought it was still too early. But I am excited!!

I bought DS10 new swim trunks last night. You can't be $2.97 per pair (I got him two). They don't have the mesh in them, though. I called DH from the store and asked him what he thought about that. He said, if it really bothers DS, he can wear a pair of underwear.

I'm beginning to imagine those beautiful deocorations that Disney will have all over the place. I hope I get to see the Minnie as a witch again. It was on Main Street in one of the windows in 2009. I tried to get a picture with it, but my family was never around when I was ready. LOL

I'm not exactly thin, either. The Venus costume is a plus size (16-20) and I know from experiance that costumes in our area run a size smaller than they actually are (if you wear a 14 you have to buy a 16). I've been trying to drop weight. I don't eat as much per sitting and I've limited my chocolate and soda intake to once a week. I also exercise 4-6 days a week (usually 4) doing a program of DVD's you do at home called Turbo Fire. Can't say enough good things about this program!!! It really kicks my butt!! If you want to tone up and aren't very coordinated, I suggest P90X or P90X2. It's also a workout at home thing. They're less expensive than a gym membership and I'm getting better results with Fire than I ever did at a gym. They even have a free online site that will customize a menu for you and your goals (complete with how to make the meal) most are single serving so you don't have to subject your family if they don't want to. And the food actually tastes GOOD!!! I used to have a turn-your-head type figure, then I had kids I couldn't stop eating after my second one. Now he's 3 and I need to get healthy again if I want to even have a chance with keeping up with him.

I LOVE fall also!!! My favorite time of year!!! Beautiful weather, it smells good outside, I can zoombie-fy my front yard for Halloween, I'm flying to WDW (my first trip) on my birthday, oh happy days!!!

Thanks for that video! That's better than the ones I was finding last night! I guess the issue I have is I'm not sure if skin is supposed to show under the laces. It doesn't have one of those flaps under the laces.

O.K. so...I dropped off my file thing and the paper at the UPS store this morning, and a couple of hours later Jessica (owner) said she tried 1 and it printed, but melted the paper again. BUT, she then said " I am going to get these done for you, one way or the other" I said "How" she said I am going to take everything home with me tonight and do them on my printer....OMG how much is that going to cost, she said $.39 a copy, just like before. I LOVE THIS WOMAN.

So she asked if it was ok for it to take a couple of days, and I said sure.
I think she felt sorry for me b\c I explained how much I have been through to get these stupid shirts made without having to buy a new printer. She is determined to get them done for me.

So if anyone is in the Raleigh area.....PLEASE use UPS store on Edwards Mill for all of your shipping b\c they are AWESOME!!!!

Besides all of that it was a great morning. Went to get my kids some clothes and found some GREAT deals - Hollister sale items are an extra 50% off - 2 button down's 1 polo and 2 t-shirts = $46 (all for my son)- Justice have 50% clearance then I had the 40% off coupon - 3 t-shirts, 3 school shirts, 2 designed shirts, 1 dress, 2 jeans, 1 leggings, 1 jean capri = $102 (all for Daughter) YAY!!!!

I'm through National, and for my dates (Sept 29 - Oct 10, 12 days total) I have an EA reservation at $173.37. When I first booked (almost a year ago) it was almost $500. It's come down almost $100 in the last 2 weeks alone.

wow, great rate! i looked again today and got down to $175 as well, but it is for 9 days for a full size. hoping i can get it down even lower as we are still a month out, so more coupons will come out closer to our date! thanks for the inspiration to check again!

Time to break out the suitcase. So proud of myself for waiting this long.

LOL I've had my suitcase waiting in my closet since we returned from our quickie SoCal/DL weekend in late August. I already threw our swimsuit stuff in there. I might just start packing and pulling out a few shirts and stuff this weekend! i still have 28 days to go!

On the packing front, I have already pulled the kids clothes out for the trip and made them off limits. Fortunately, my kids have way too many clothes so they won't really miss the ones I've banned them from wearing. I've also started making all my lists of what bag gets packed with which things. Lots and lots of lists!

I love it! I have been debating the same thing. My son has so many shirts that I could at least pull the disney ones I want to pack, but i just fear it is still too early, we still have almost 4 weeks. So i might do that next weekend. let him wear all the disney stuff to school next week that i plan to pack, wash and then pack it next weekend- or at least pull it from rotation! lol I might do the same for me.

Well we had to cancel our trip today My husband found out that because of a special project at work that he can not take his vacation that week. I already have our tickets for the Not So Scary Party on November 1st. I am thinking of trying to sell them for 30.00 a piece on Ebay don't think I would really get full price for them. I just feel horrible telling my kids today that we can't go.

I am so sorry! You can't sell them on here, but i hope you have good luck on ebay. I would also try calling Disney. While they are officially non-refundable, it can't hurt and all they can say is no, but worth a shot. A few years ago, we had someone cancel on the MVMCP, and i just gave the ticket away here on the boards, but it was only one ticket.

I have a question about the Mousekeeping envelopes. Don't you only tip once? Or do you tip daily? I guess maybe it would be different for me since we are DVC and will only have them once on a 7-day trip.

Basically, I'm trying to find a reason to need these. ha.

i usually leave an envelope each day, but now that we stay DVC, we don't.

oh i wish i could finalize our schedule; but after viewing all the great photo's and reading all the threads about MNSSHP we are going to add a second party

YEAH!! that's awesome. When talked to DH, who is NOT a planner and doesn't even want to know where we are going until the day of......he said, what day are we doing the party- and since it is early in our trip (monday), he said if it is fun, maybe we can go to a second one! So we will play that by ear!

you should be getting a small booklet with you resort info, dining credit info, vouchers for the extras (minigolf, spa, etc) and a couple plastic luggage tags
