Thank you all for all the hugs and prayers for my FIL and our family. Things have been very stressful. My stomach is in knots. KEPE, I too hope the doctors are wrong and that he has more time left than they think.

I am pretty sure we will be cancelling our trip. My husband wants to wait until the biopsy results come back tomorrow. So we will see.

upon your request tomorrow we are in the teens and DD's teacher approved her vacation so her absence is excused. Better get my behind in gear and start getting things done.

I am indeed a Badgers fan! Brent has season tickets. Really looking forward to Saturday's game. We are going to get downtown around 9:00 to go to ESPN Game Day and start tailgating

Brent is a Steelers fan, hard year for him, lol! And we are both Cubs fans.

I too am so sorry to hear about your FIL I've lost many of family members to this disease its just terrible to watch loved ones suffer, thoughts and prayers to you and yours !

Someone just gave SUCH a negative review on the resort I'm going to, I understand the negative things are something you should read, but really some people are so hard to please I find, and find nothing positive period. Its Disney I'm going to be just happy to be there, no matter what !

A Steelers fan!? Although I will say that while I am a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, I have not watched an Eagles game since the dog-killer has been their QB. I am all for second chances, but from what I've seen of him in interviews, including his recent GQ interview, he hasn't learned his lesson. He's just learned how to have a PR team keep him out of trouble. Anyway, until I'm convinced or until they get rid of him, I won't watch. I won't root against them, but I won't watch and I really, honestly, hope they don't win the Super Bowl with him. I just don't think he deserves it. I'm sorry. He hasn't made amends yet to get that kind of reward. You throw that kind of money at me and I'll be your puppet too. And the only community service he's done (that I've heard of) is going into city schools, where the kids worship him anyway, and talk about what he did. How about picking up trash for a year or scooping up dog poop in city parks? Just sayin. (soapbox, down.)

I always have to remind myself that people only write things when they are incredibly UNhappy about a place. Here on the DIS is a big exception and we're lucky we have such a resource, but remember that when we're unhappy about our stay, for whatever reason, we only think of the negative and we tend to want to vent that out. I know last time I went to WDW my DH and I had unrealistic expectations about how the trip would be with my entire family and my DD who was 10 months at the time. Rather than adjusting our trip when our expectations weren't met, we just complained the whole time. Looking back, we know what we did wrong, but we ruined our trip as a result. That's why this time we vowed we will be looking at this trip through our DD's eyes. If she wants to play in a play area for an hour or in a water fountain, so be it! The value comes in her joy and my happiness comes from seeing that. I know I'm going to have to remind myself of it while we're there, though, because there are so many things I want her to see and I know she's not going to care about half of them!!
