Thank you all for the poncho suggestions. I tried CVS, Duane Reade, Target and a few dollar stores. Not sure if I will make it to Walmart before my trip but if I do I will look there too. Also, thanks to whoever suggested just buying them there. I was comparing it to my trip to hershey park where they were really thin and ripped after a little bit (no way to reuse) and they charged us like $10 a piece

JJiillee, sorry about your kids. I hope they are both well enough to enjoy the trip.

I have a friend who just returned and said it was packed!! I really hope when we go the crowdes aren't too bad.

Yes, I know what you mean about trying not to get too excited in case you have to cancel. Our trip is in 11 days. We found out in early August that my father in law has thyroid cancer that has spread to his lungs. He gave us a scare over the weekend. He couldn't breathe and had to go to the hospital. He recently had a biopsy and they said it caused swelling that is pushing on the tumors and hindering air passage. They have him on steroids to try and reduce the swelling but in the meantime he is in ICU and on a ventilator. They were originally saying he might be able to go home tomorrow so hopefully that holds true so he can pursue whatever treatment is next - he was originally supposed to have radiation treatment thru 9/29 and then after that they will decide if the next step will be chemo or surgery. I hope for everyone to be as healthy as possible and you won't have to cancel your trip.

I hope you father in law is well! I hope he heals quickly and you can enjoy a great vacation!

I am getting pretty close here too! My DH's last day of work is October 8th and then on to the World on October 12th. My DH works every other week but with his vacation days he pretty much has the whole month off!

Update: We found out this evening that the doctors feel that without treatment, my FIL has about two weeks or so. With chemo, he may have three months. He is going for the chemo. Might have more definititive timelines when his biopsy results come back on Thursday.

My mom and I have been going to DW off and on since I was 3 (I'm going to be 27 next month) and BOY do we need this trip bad! 19 days, 10 hours, and 12 minutes to go!!!! Plus, we finally decided to make the trek out to Cali and make our first visit to Disneyland...and Hawaii for Aulani! Double vaca to the maxxx! We're so grateful and fortunate to be able to go on these trips to the places we love the most. Can't wait! Food and Wine Fest, I hope you're ready for us...muahahaha!

So sorry you got this news I just started crying when i read this. I lost my father 4 years ago to cancer. it's a terrible disease...we are all here for you.
