Hey I know you :rotfl: are you stalking me
hope you and your guys are enjoying the day...did they catch any fish??

Haha, I'm listed on the first post. Don't see you ;) :rotfl2::rotfl2: Guess that means it's the other way around! Tehe.

They caught a shark. I swear I will never swim in the gulf again. Every time they go they catch a sting ray, shark, puffer fish, or scorpion fish. No keepers this time, no fish fry tonight.

oh, I love steak and shake....we don't have that here :sad2:

can't wait for F & W....well the food part, not a big drinker

Yeap, arriving 10/7. :cool1: Your calendar is too cute! DH would roll his eyes if I made a calendar like that. He already thinks I'm silly not only because I keep track of how many days until our trip but I always make an Excel spreadsheet with all the park hours and EM hours, Fantasmic! dates and times, Eat to the Beat concert info, dining ressies, etc. And then I take a picture of it so it's on our camera in case the spreadsheet gets lost or wet! :lmao: I see you are from Buffalo. We used to live in East Amherst (live in Virginia now). My husband is a die hard Bills fan. He'll be at ESPN Zone watching football in his Bills jersey all day on 10/9 so if you see him you'll know he's with me! :rotfl:

---- > just chiming in as I read ... I too will be driving from VA and Ill be leaving here 10-7 driving through the night. Ill actually vacation there from 10-8 through 10-16. doing our 1st mnsshp ... me and dd 9 with my friend and her dd 9. My husband DARE NOT go to Disney .. unfortunately he is not the zippidy doo dah type. His nerves cannot take all that :lmao: but, I was excited to see someone else from VA. I am in Norfolk. Are you close?

I'm right on the Fairfax County/Prince William County line which I think is about 4 hours from Norfolk. We'll be flying JetBlue out of Dulles.

I think the Steak n Shake in Lake Buena Vista is open 24 hours. Maybe we can make a run there in Oct? We can just wing it, and it there is time.

hmmm....we'd have to hitch a ride with you, not getting a car!

That would be no problem. To get from CSR to Steak n Shake we have to pass the street where POFQ is. Anakin doesn't go to bed until 10:30ish.

we will figure it out....I have a couple other DIS friends going down the same time, waiting to hear their plans too so we can get together!

So funny, we are potty training right now too. DS#2 will turn 3 on this Friday and just switched to pull ups this week, he has been dry at least half the day so far. Woo Hoo!!

Question for those of you doing something similar - I am nervous about training so close to Disney. I can't imagine standing in line for 30+ minutes only to have to get out of line to go potty. But I don't want to tell him no or keep him in pullups either. How do you plan to handle that?
We had just trained my son prior to our December trip. he had just gone for the first time in the potty after much waiting and practicing on november 20th and our trip was Dec 4th. so i was nervous. But he did great. Not one accident! He stayed dry all day. We just stopped often for potty, asked him a lot, paid attention to how much he was drinking etc. Nighttime- we put him in a pull up still, since we were staying DVC, we didn't get daily housekeeping, which meant if he had an accident, we had to wash the sheet ourselves and didn't want to risk him peeing the mattress etc.

That's a great idea to keep a 3X5 index card for each day.
We go even farther, at least on past trips we have. We print off our daily itinerary small and then tape to a notecard and laminate or at least cover with clear tape (so it can't get wet and ruin the ink!). Then hole punch and put a keyring through it- easy to put in your backpack and pull out for reference. I put all my ADR #s on there, flight info, rental car info, ressie info etc. It is so nice and easy! Last year, i just bought a small 3x5 size spiral bound little notebook and did my iten in there and covered each page in clear tape, then i took notes on the other pages on what we did each day, so I could remember when writing my TR. lol!

Congrats on the potty training, and successful Disney trip right afterwards!

Great ideas! The most I ever did was for our long weekend trip the other weekend to CSR. I made a chart in a notebook comparing easyWDW with TP as for the best parks and worse parks. Wrote down park hours, EMH and our ADRs.

My 4 pages of notebook, stayed in a drawer the whole time. All our plans went out the door when we discovered the pool activities, camp fire and movies. Suddenly every plan revolved around being back in time for all that.

At least I know this time to hit those things at least once. And once is what it looks like we will be able to do. We have plans at HoB on our first night to see the lovely sister of MAW friend open for the jazz band. Our last night we have plans to go on our first Disney carriage ride with mommy2mrb!! Good thing all resorts have the activities now. Maybe he can catch the campfire there instead? Although he knows all about the carriage ride and has seen pictures of mommy2mrb and her dd last night, so he is getting very excited to meet them, as am I.

This is what I'm doing too! But I'm using a carabiner clip to hold them together :)

It is so exciting to see the numbers getting so close! We are at 39 days today! And the beautiful weather is making me so ready for fall. I'm ready for the leaves to start changing and to go pick pumpkins!
