We had just trained my son prior to our December trip. he had just gone for the first time in the potty after much waiting and practicing on november 20th and our trip was Dec 4th. so i was nervous. But he did great. Not one accident! He stayed dry all day. We just stopped often for potty, asked him a lot, paid attention to how much he was drinking etc. Nighttime- we put him in a pull up still, since we were staying DVC, we didn't get daily housekeeping, which meant if he had an accident, we had to wash the sheet ourselves and didn't want to risk him peeing the mattress etc.
We go even farther, at least on past trips we have. We print off our daily itinerary small and then tape to a notecard and laminate or at least cover with clear tape (so it can't get wet and ruin the ink!). Then hole punch and put a keyring through it- easy to put in your backpack and pull out for reference. I put all my ADR #s on there, flight info, rental car info, ressie info etc. It is so nice and easy! Last year, i just bought a small 3x5 size spiral bound little notebook and did my iten in there and covered each page in clear tape, then i took notes on the other pages on what we did each day, so I could remember when writing my TR. lol!
